Listening to the jury performance, I was pleasantly surprised! She usually can be a bit dodgy, but her performance tonight sounded perfect. Suzy has definitely put herself in contention of qualifying.

So RTP is broadcasting tomorrow's semi-final and the grand final, right? Question for my fellow countrymen then: where can I follow the 2nd semi-final? There must be some other channel broadcasting it live.

I think it's silly they chose not to broadcast the 2nd semi-final. They'd net one of those "once in a year" audience rates and in case we're through, it would also let the Portuguese public know how our direct competitors sound like in advance.


P.S. I have ZON, not MEO (not that I think this is much relevant to make a difference anyway, but still letting it be known)

Unfortunatelly, i predict Portugal to sit around 11-12th in this semi poll. Hope they'd go through, yet i don't believe they will.

Good luck to my country! For such a poor song, they managed to improve it in all ways possible, Suzy has done a great job promoting it and that's all i could ask for. We'll probably stay in the semi, but good luck anyway!

I don't think Suzy will get through, but I really hope she will. The song is light and fun, and I think the final would be a better place with her in it.

I hate to admit it but this thing is in with a chance. They managed to get the act into a good party vibe and that has its followers. Plus, the competition is not exactly fierce. I would not like it as I really don't like the song and I don't care if it's my own country. On the contrary, I feel one is more exacting when it's our own country involved.
And i've had enough of emanuel bragging about how successful his former, and also horrible esc entry in 2007 was (it was 11th), leaving so many countries behind, that I can imagine how he'd go about it forever if he actually qualified. Could live with it, one can live with everything.
But I would be sick in my body and my mind.
