Re: POLAND 2019

Eurovoix states that Marcin Sójka (the latest winner of The Voice of Poland) would like to go to Eurovision if the Polish broadcaster TVP asked him.

The latest winner of the Voice of Poland Marcin Sójka, has stated he would represent his nation at Eurovision if approached by TVP.

Speaking to Eska following his victory in the Voice of Poland Marcin Sójka, stated that if TVP approached him to participate in Eurovision he would definitely agree and go to Tel Aviv. When asked if he would take part in a national selection, he said he would try if “the opportunity arose”.

I'd like Dawid Podsiadło with a song similar to this one, but it's a vain hope.

Re: POLAND 2019

Do you want Poland to miss the grand final for a second year in a row?

Re: POLAND 2019

Natalia Szroeder wrote on Instagram that she was very busy last days, some things are hidden but ready to be revealed in February. She was rumored to be our ESC2019 entry by some media, so
1) she's just heating the atmosphere around her
2) she has been chosen.

I like her.

If that's really her, I do want to see her raping Margaret in the final voting.

Re: POLAND 2019

What a surprise!
Poland will do a national final now somehow.

TVP is still asking for artists to submit their songs. A jury will choose the entry.

I guess, due to recent events, TVP has got a really bad reputation and I think no big(ger) artist is interested in being part of the whole process and maybe Natalia Szroeder didn't accept the nomination in the end.

It seems that TVP is calling for submissions now.

They don't want to take part because they're afraid of getting slayed like Górniak or Margaret. And Szroeder is attention-whoring right now, I'm more than sure that if she had a chance to go - she'd totally take it.

I don't understand why they determined that short period of time to send the entry?

Re: POLAND 2019

Wait, I'm confused... wasn't internal selection confirmed?

I can't with TVP planning yet another horror pre-selection final... xshrug

That's true.. But I guess that TVP wanted to be the one reaching out for a major artist (e.g. Natalia Szroeder) but due to TVP having such a bad reputation in Poland right now (I mean, people in Warsaw protest their coverage of news and Polish politicians in the wake of the murder of the mayor of Gdańsk) that I truly believe that no major artist would like to be part of it right now because it could damage their popularity and reputation.
Today, TVP suddenly asks artists to submit songs until 5th February so that a jury will decide which track will be the Polish entry. It's somehow a national final but without people being able to watch it (same procedure like Poland in Eurovision 2005).

It feels super strange that Poland scrapped its initial procedure and tries to find a new entry in less than 16 days

Yeah, I guess you're onto something. Probably they had an act in mind, but I feel like this act declined in the last minute which is why they make this thing with such short notice.

I am also not surprised they can't convince anyone serious. The official list of participants won't be probably revealed, they will only tell who is going to Tel Aviv.

Re: POLAND 2019

So it's time to send Isabell Otrebus with Warner Sweden's money?

I guess you meant Margaret.

I would love SVT to pay for Margaret's performance. She should be announced as the Polish entrant after ending up being #8 in the Melodifestivalen final xD

Well, it's true that TVP is a propaganda right now with the lowest ratings ever in general, but speaking of Polish pop-artists I don't think they have that strong moral fiber... I mean, all of them are still performing on New Year's Eve parties on TVP or they are juries in TVP's talent shows or guests in the morning show... Maybe some political-directed celebrities can refuse TVP in 100%, but those are more like actors and older people. Our pop sweeties like Szpak, Cleo, Górniak, Margaret and more never said anything wrong about TVP. Can we blame them? Well, NYE party on TVP2 had the best stars and 6 Million viewers. TVN and Polsat - less than 2 Million each. :D Yup, this one was a win for TVP.

I think they tried to convince someone to participate but mission failed, so now we have THIS. A quick fix.
Natalia Szroeder said that her big news for February is not about Eurovision, just a new single.

Can't wait for all those youtube non-proffessional songs and announcements "we send this to TVP!" "#Warsaw2020!" from weird people like in last years.

And, of course, TVP announcement on Feb 8th "Due to many great offers, we decided to give an extra chance to another singers and we're still waiting for your entries till the end of the month!".
