Re: POLAND 2016

"In The Name of Love" was not outstanding.
imo there was not a single outstanding song in Vienna. I think your 2015 entry wasn't there for a song. They put a stake on performing and they certainly didn't want to win.

ps. If miracle happens and TVP chooses something awesome I'll scream out my friggen lungs while cheering   (it's closer and cheaper for us to go to Poland  ).

I don't want Margaret. OK, she works with Swedes and they know how to write cheap hits for ESC but Margaret is poor live.

I disagree. This is not the first time when someone says that Margaret is poor live but I don't get it. Do you mean her voice? When I think "poor voice" then Sarsa comes to my mind, not Margaret. I think she's ok live.

To be honest, we can still write the same names like we did last year and no one was right then. :D Natalia Nykiel is a new face in Polish music market, maybe some people from Europe want to check her:

And I like Olivia Anna Livki:

And once again: Brodka has a new stuff to release, so... :D

I saw that performance of "Start a Fire" (I always hear stara faja ). It's actually good, but still there's something I dislike about her, maybe the fact she doesn't sing the whole song, she avoids some parts of the lyrics or notes from time to time. :? I hear too many differences between her live and studio versions. Her live performances of "Thank you very much" are better example. Her voice is just ok. I usually don't like her clothes.
Sarsa isn't better. The only difference is Sarsa records in Polish and Margaret in English.

I'm sorry but I'll disagree, there was one (but as it's not its thread, I won't discuss it)!

Neither Sarsa, nor Margaret. I want Dawid Podsiadło.

I want this guy again, but with a far better song than 2010!

He's just a good singer! 2010 was really unfortunate with his song.....

Watch your mouth when talking about my boyfriend xqueenbitch thanks

I don't think he'll come back because 1) he lives in the UK now and 2) he criticized TVP a lot for the lack of financial and logistical support in 2010.

He did say he considered returning before Poland came back, but it was years ago.

I love me some Marcin, but that's highly unlikely :( Hope never dies, yes :D
Regarding the UK, I guess they already have their 10 stellar acts for this year. Maybe next time?

Re: POLAND 2016

I don't watch televsion but I saw the final results from "The Voice of Poland" and head of TVP2 said that all people from this competition (and another tv-shows of TVP) will have a support from broadcaster because they are creating a management company for those people, so maybe someone from "The Voice" will be our singer for ESC2016? Some of them have a really, really good voices, anyway I prefer us to send someone who is well known.

We had this situation a few years ago when TVP was sending their people with unknown songs like Marcin Mroziński or Magdalena Tul who is a back singer in a music-quiz-show for older audience and no one cared about Eurovision then. :p

So, "My Słowianie" was a terrific choice and last year's entry was also widely commented, I want them to keep it this way, but I am a little bit afraid about whole national brodcaster's company here in Poland, because our new government wants to have influence on every single thing in our public life, including media, entertainament and stuff like this, so probably we will send some sad / patriotic song sung by old nun or so.

ANYWAY - Margaret is still very close to TVP, she sang "Heartbeat" on the finale of "The Voice". This performance was kinda poor. :p

I am still wondering why she is not realising her new singles in Europe? Because "Thank You Very Much" was an airplay hit (maybe not huge hit, but still) in some European countries, but all her new songs are released only in Poland. The same thing happened many years ago when Polish girl-duo called Blog 27 was popular in Europe and Japan, but when they released 2nd album only in Poland. I still want us to have some huge international hit, because I feel like we are the only country in Europe with any international stars in popculture. :D
