Exactly!! And now that 75% of ex-Yugoslavia withdrew, chances are WAY higher than ever!
TVP should really think logically - the more countries withdrawing, the better chances of qualification

The Powers That Be can extend the deadline to have us back and give TVP more time to think and analyse things while they're are actually considering particpation more seriously. Well if not today then I'll keep my fingers crossed over the weekend to Monday annoucement ;D

I'm not sure what extending the deadline until Monday will do. What needs to be done over the weekend? I say if they aren't ready to announce today, then tough.

TVP are counting the money they have and how much they'd have to spend not only for fee but delegation, and all other costs connected with it. I believe it takes so long because first EBU had to talk, convince them into idea of participation alone. We can guess they convince people in TVP to particpate, but now they have to check if they can or how much money they can spend and is it enough.
Results of those countings were supposed to be delivered to head of TVP according to the news. Probably didn't make it on Friday in time so it will be on his desk on Monday I believe. EBU must have done a lot of talking to take this to such level TVP are now wondering about finances not just the idea so they can wait another few days while they see there is a chance for our comeback.
I didn't expect it really, I thought today we're gonna get same story as past two years and we're through. But let's not get too exited and hopes set too high. I think it is already major step forward.

The fact they are obviously still considering it is already a huge surprise for me. (and like evija87 said a big step forward). I thought Eurovision in Poland is completely dead, but these are obviously signs of life.

I want it to be positive. Honestly I don't know what to think anymore At the beginning of the day I was pesimistic, even convinced we're out. And now... it's getting interesting and optimistic. I think there is a chance since wirtualnemedia.pl wrote that TVP budget is around 20 milions on + now, not 130M below like last year. I believe they can find some money. Internal selection is cheap, they should take someone talented from The Voice (I'd love Natalia Sikora) and give them good song. We still have good composers in this country. Don't mess up the staging like in 2010, keep things simple and we can afford it.
