POLAND 2011 - Magdalena Tul - Jestem

First of all, i'm satisfied with the result. I always kept saying this song is little more than a banal melody on a banal beat.

Now, about the future... I doubt TVP cares about results. As long as our NF brings them money, Poland won't withdraw. It may happen when interest in the contest drops so low that it'll pay off more to air a soap opera instead of the NF I won't be suprised when it does. Only 2 years ago there were some locally well-known names apart from greenhorns competing in the NF. There were none this time. TVP's behaviour is a short-sighted one.

What should happen if the broadcaster was a little more ambitious... I'd suggest begging Piotr Rubik to compose a song and then going with "Unsere Star" formula of choosing the performer.

Even I like Jestem last night performance was complete disaster. Live singing was awful, choreography in totally chaos.
At the end, with that weak performance Magda didn't deserve place in final.
Sorry guys, but good luck next year, and I hope that Poland will stay with us in competition.

I hope that Poland will withdraw. I can't stand fact that we've never qualify. 2 year ago was ballad and we stayed in semi, later was folk music, the same. Now was modern song and good singer but we didn' qualify.

can't remeber previous polands' songs but ours simply weren't good enough.
it's not about style of the song, it's about the quality. harsh truth.

p.s. I find Jestem cute, better than ours, but really, live performance was baaad

The performance didn't convince me at all. It was rather weak, but I still saw it as a qualifier.

It's a good song but last night it didn't show the best of it!I can't tell it's unfair the it didn't qualified...if there's something of being unfair was in 2009 (I don't wanna leave...great song and voice)
I can understand your sad feeling about the results,but not being in ESC next year isn't the solution...it's like you are an athlete and you haven't got good results..but you never give up if you really believe in you.

What happened? Magda was my 2nd favourite song in this semi! Why her performance was so weak, chaotic and dreadfull? She can do 1000 times better then what she showed on the stage yesterday. What a shame

The entry was not awful at all.. for sure better than Ukraine this year, and better than those you mentioned there imo.. especially the Estonian children's song.

But the performance didn't go well though.

The performance wasn't that bad... in some tvs.

In many others there were bad audio. Also camera work was awful.

Comparing sound from BBC to sound from LRT for example - there is a giantic difference. There are also rumours that voting for 1st five song was closed after 30 minutes in some countries. If it is true - this is the biggest scandal since televote was introduced.

Magda came back to Poland. She wrote on her facebook that she is a bit dissapointed but so far people thank her for great performance. I don't want us to be withdrawn next year - we just need to find a song that is at least as good as Magda's. I hope Magda releases her new CD soon, I will definately buy it.

The reason why we failed was that the song was a "typically Eurovision song". And this is why we always fail, we try to adapt songs to Eurovision needs and it's wrong!

When I'm watching it right now I feel, that it wasn't so bad performance. But camera works was mistake and I doubt that it was deliberate by polish delegation. I feel so sorry for Magda

Poland was one of the countries I thought I'd vote for, because I really liked the song, but the performance on Tuesday was horrible, and there was just no way I could vote for that...
