People are focusing on songs or performances, but I like artists that put some effort in their work and not just sing someone else's song and offcourse it's a plus when the song is good aswell (which imo this is).

That is your subjective opinion but you can't order people what should they rank. Someone could value something that you don't value at all

Also conservative opinions are opinions ;)

I am really glad to hear that, though it seems like you are making sound like a fact :) But now I am interested to know, what is your opinion if mine is conservative? open-minded?

I didn't know it was called Eurovision CLOTHES Contest?

That is what you said ;)

If juries/viewers vote primarily on the clothing then we really got a problem

Juries/viewers can vote for whatever they like. There is no objective criteria set there. The jury (or most of them) probably has the song itself as the main judging factor, and that's totally fine. But it surely isn't the only factor playing the role here. It is very clear that this is Eurovision SONG Contest, but it's not just the song that plays an important role in ranking, but the performance and everything around it as well. All those details are important factors for someone who is watching and listening to a certain entry the first time, but even for those who know all the entries like us here ;) This is broadcasted on TV, and not on a radio, so yes, everything counts. Someone ranks the performances, someone ranks just the song itself, someone ranks the singer's vocal abilities, someone ranks more factors at once (like me)....if it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have live events in the arena with live singing and shows/performances (with music in playback though), but watching the music video would be enough for ranking, and that would be a criteria for everyone watching the event, not live performance. By this criteria of yours, you can just as well say - "this isn't Eurovision VOCAL contest" (which you did say actually) ;) What should be ranked in your opinion? Only the song?

Slovakia was my pre-favorite last year, but I didn't vote for her because I totally disliked the performance, and as soon as it got finished I knew she was going to fail. Everything was just terribly bad.

Magda's dress is similar to Jenny Silver's in 2010 Melodifestivalen. I think this is where the idea came from.
Jenny failed to qualify so...:?

^ Yeah it totally reminded me Jenny's clothes. But honestly that wasn't the reason Jenny didn't qualify. Her song was the problem. Well for the others coz I liked it. hehe

Her clothes aren't the worst. I hope that despite that clothes she'll pass to the final. What's your opinion?

I think people will at least remember the clothes which has to be a good thing when she's going first, anything to stay memorable is good at this point imo!

Yes, indeed. I have a feeling that people would vote for "the lady in strange clothes" (which I like btw :p) because the song is catchy and they would remember this performance by these clothes ;)

Btw - in the pictures Magda looks great in this outfit and I really think she would look very good in cameras (and I kinda have it confirmed live from Duesseldorf :p) so no worries here ;)

I think usually entrants with "weird" clothes don't do too well. Especially if they are doing a sexy song/number. I really want her to do well so I hope people won't mind about the outfit.

I don't really like her outfit, but man can she sing! I think Poland will surely qualify and its a really nice start to the show.

Hopefully they will sort out what parts Magdalena will sing in the chorus and what parts her backing singers will sing.

I'm just gonna make a short response to your response above: Well obviously what I wrote is my subjective opinion, I guess that goes for everyone in here so I don't really see the point in pointing out the obvious.

Anyways back to the clothing discussion:

If they take away the part of the dancers' clothing which looks like plastic diapers  and put the glitter things also on the white parts of Magda's dress then it will all be fine.

But as someone pointed out atleast it will make people remember it.

As for the Slovakia thing.. there's a main difference here in that Magda is actually a good live singer wheres Kristina lacked both the voice and confidence.. so if Magda really will be punished for her clothing then Eurovision is truly effed up.

Good luck Poland!

Verka Serduchka in 2007 was second. Not to mention Lordi in 2006
But I agree that her clothes should be simple. That way people could concetrate on the song which is very good.
I wish her good luck in the contest. She is in my personal TOP 10.

I think the decisive matter will Be her Performance.her Dress is a Second looker which means it Takes some Time to like her costume. So She has to come 120% Over her Performance. Her Performance in 2nd Rehearsal was Not good and i think it was a consequence that they didnt like the costume. But i could also imagine that if Performance is like in euroclub they will also like the costume

I do not like it at all and honestly I don't think it will qualify.
