:rs: defeated Puerto Rico in basketball with 107:66.

I can't remember when we last beat someone with 41 points of difference but it was definitely a match that got us back on track. I don't expect an easy job against South Sudan and the sooner this match is forgotten, the better. But this is the play we should strive for.

Female basketball team of :rs: also defeated :cn: with 81:59 and secured the 1/4 finals xclap

Can I just say wow? After taking a 6-point deduction for that drone incident, the Canadian women's soccer team defeated Colombia 1-0 to move on to the quarterfinals!

I'm so mad at the planning for the women's tennis tournament

The girls played every single day since Monday

The guys had a rest day

Today we had two three hours thrillers with Zheng beating Kerber and Vekic beating Kostyuk, wonderful games

These girls have to play again tomorrow, this is bullshit

Very happy about the semi-finalists, would've wished to see Paolini instead of Schmiedlova but well

Also farewell to Angie Kerber and thanks for everything, what a player xheart

Well looks like Swiatek has the Djokovic syndrome, when she plays for her country she doesn't manage to handle the pressure, this game looked just like Tokyo's Djokovic/Zverev

Iga lost o_O
Welp, I started worrying yesterday when she lost her set.
Zheng was super ready physically. Lots of mistakes for Swiontek. It's not her physical shape but her head. At times I didn't recognize her game, she was worrying or thinking about pressure instead of being concentrated (like Zheng). Like she wasn't present on the court. Her reaction was slower, overthinking things also didn't help.

:ca: update

Summer strikes again - Summer McIntosh wins gold in the women's 200m butterfly in swimming. Her mom competed in the same event 40 years prior at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles

Felix Auger-Aliassime moved on to the semifinals in men's singles tennis

Canada is guaranteed another medal in men's boxing, it will be the country's first medal in that sport since 1996

:rs: defeated :nl: and :fr: in basketball 3 x 3 but today is a real test.

:lv: has shown the most by far (so far) and it is a fantastic team. We have to play much better than on the last three matches in order to win here.

Gabriela Dabrowski and Felix Auger-Aliassime win bronze in mixed doubles tennis - this is Canada's first Olympic medal in tennis since 2000!

Auger-Aliassime will also play for bronze in men's singles

:rs: Novak Djoković defeated :it: Lorenzo Musseti and he is now in the Olympic final xcheer

His best Olympic result.......he deserved his last Olympic games to also be the greatest.

Regardless of how it ends in the final, :rs: has one more medal and that is what counts xheart
