Excuse you? Forgive me for being against a country using this contest to reinstate racist and xenophobic attitudes at home. Armenia has given Azerbaijan points both in 2008 and in 2009, while I can point to countless examples of bizarre and outwardly racist behavior from Azerbaijan regarding Armenia, including the voting incident in 2009. If you're against racism in this contest, you would be against countries manipulating it to strengthen racism in their own backyard. I'm not against them competing because they're ethnic Azeris- I'm against it because Eurovision has become another means breeding paranoia against Armenians. It's not normal to persecute people for liking a song from the wrong country. This contest was made to bring people together, and Azerbaijan has done everything but that; therefore, their participation in this contest contradicts the whole purpose of Eurovision. That's not racism and xenophobia, that's fact. Imagine if the French had gone after every one in France for voting for Germany in the early 1950s. What kind of ripple effects would those have sent? If you don't understand the difference between what I'm saying and overt racism, then I have nothing more to say to you. And keep your disrespectful "typical Armenian" (whatever that means) to yourself.
