Everything about NSC 56 has been spectacular, and most of it is all thanks to the host who puts everything together! Thank you Ronny for doing such a smooth and graceful job for the past 3 weeks, even when certain recaps have been severely delayed It's been an edition to remember! 1

And now we've reached 8th place, let's get personal...
As you probably know, this was Yaponesia's 50th entry (hence probably why I'm taking this so seriously xD)
Because it was my 50th entry, I decided to send my favourite band, with a recent song that was only a minor track on their latest single.
Hopes weren't incredibly high (though DAI have had NSC success in the past); I just wanted to send the song I loved by the band I loved and be as Yaponesian as possible
*BUT*
8TH PLACE!!! That's our third best placing!!!!!! I was honestly expecting 15th or something!!! Absolutely incredible! And major thank yous to everyone who made this amazing celebratory outcome possible :shock:

Now, some general comments about the final results! ^^
That tie is EPIC!
NSC has been waiting for one of these for friggin ages, so it's very cool that we finally get one now!
And hey, my votes got to be the supercool deciding ones that confirmed it What an honour!
Speaking of my votes, it's of course amazing to see my top 2 both in the top 6!!
Noizeland and Fervorosia are a little underrated (I thought Fervo would be seeing the top 6 actually xD)
But still, I've always said, any place is good in the final as you've already qualified
Cydoni-Gibberia was in fact my favourite song of this whole edition I was sad to see it didn't qualify, but happy to see it was decently appreciated in the reju!
General feeling of this edition is that it has been immensely enjoyable with few regrets! I greatly enjoyed making the recaps for this edition, and only wish I could've finished them quicker xD

So, to sum up, thanks again for an amaaaaaaazing 50th edition for Yaponesia!!!

Whoopee, now where to start with the rest?
I'd like to start with talking about Ugaly and this entry. UnSun was sent as a breach of tradition, not conforming to usual Ugly guidelines. While it's more advanced than that, let's just say it applies to the whole female-fronted metal category. However, we fell in love with this song, so it felt right make an exception just this once, and it yielded us this huge success that was way beyond what we came for! But, with apologies to those hoping otherwise, the success does not change this entry's status as a one-off exception, so don't expect Ugaly to return with more entries of the same kind. That said, we're so happy this exception paid off, and the appreciation that came with it!

Next, the predictions! It was an unusual and pretty frightening experience to be a prehand-favorite for the top, and this lasted way through to the end! It very nearly came to fruition, and I know there's a few who's even disappointed that it eventually didn't. A big hug to you guys, but let me be totally clear that there's no disappointment here, I'm undescribably satisfied with how this all turned out, and with the whole road to it in consideration, I really feel like a moral winner anyway!

Semi results! Winning the semi is a new experience in itself, but a 50 point margin?! Holiness beloved! I'm speechless!

A lot of my own favorites did very well too! It's a great honor to share this third place with my 12-pointer! And my 8-pointer, the big winner! A marvellous edition overall at that, and I regret being unable to vote for all the songs I wanted to. Well done people! You made it count, let's see it happen in more editions!

I've often left out the hosting job from my public posts (preferring keeping it to private conversations), but I have to highlight how exceptional the work has been this time! Ronny, well done, you've proven to be an amazingly dedicated player with full knowledge of the whole system. Amazing work, I salute you!

Finally, thank you for reading this! Ugaly's well prepared for our 5th ever prequalification, and we'll see you all in NSC 57! 1

As I already said several times, I was especially cheering for Noizeland and I'm very sorry I couldn't give it more than 7 points. It only shows how good this final was.

I thought "Vodka" would achieve more than 19th place, but it's not numbers that matter. This song, despite being quite heavy, is very light in its message and atmosphere and simply makes me smile or even laugh. I hope it did the same to many of you. Comments like "VODKA! " during Live Listening mean much more than overall result
Next time Rumia is going to show its darker, more depressive side. Bookmakers already predict big fail and last place in semi

I'm semi-happy with my 12th place. If somebody would have told me before the contest that I would get 12th place I would have gladly taken it but after seeing me as 2nd in the odds I was kinda hoping for a PQ.
