Madcon is an urban-pop Norwegian duo, who achieved international fame after their cover of the Four Season's song, Beggin'. Glow was the theme song for Eurovision 2010, in Norway, for the theme, Share The Moment, which showed flash mobs dancing to it in numerous European cities including Dublin, London and Gothenburg.

Elizabeth & The Catapult is a pop-rock trio from Brooklyn, New York, who began with Elizabeth Ziman writing songs in her laundry room on a piano, using the dryer as a metronome. They formed as a trio in 2004 and have been popular among the indie crowd since! Will they be as popular in NSC?

8mm is a trip-hop influenced pop-rock band from Los Angeles. Yet to become internationally famous, they are popular in the American, Canadian, British and Chilean indie scenes and have had their songs featured in many TV shows. Their 3rd album, Love and Apocalypse will be released later this year!

Florence + The Machine are a popular indie band based in London, UK. Fronted by Florence Welch, the band are known for their singles Rabbit Heart, You've Got The Love and Kiss With A Fist, among others. They are a multi-award winning band who have won prestigious Brit Awards, Studio8 awards and UK Festival Awards. I wonder how much that means to our NSC viewers though?

Ricki-Lee Coulter was born in 1985 in Auckland, New Zealand, but moved to Brisbane, Australia when she was just 3 weeks old. She appeared in Australian Idol before joining the group, Young Divas, consisting of other former Idol contestants, before leaving to become a solo singer. She has previously appeared in NSC with the song Can't Touch It reaching top 10, but has now taken a break from the music industry to host a radio show in Australia.

Waloria, formerly known as Qele are back in the game under a new name. Qele had a very successful debut so can their first edition under a new name be as good? Quite likely! Cobra Starship have already gained fans within the NSC community after winning with The City Is At War (Maccha-Bruggia) and another high placing with Good Girls Go Bad (Swelatie). Can they do it again? Good luck!

Zombira have finished 2nd a huge 4 times, but that has made little impact on the medal board since they are yet to win, but hasn't gone unrecognised on the scoreboard where they currently sit in 9th place! Gaby Kerpel was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was influenced by his brother Anibal’s love for music from a very young age. As a boy, Kerpel learned to play piano and, later in his youth, played keyboards in several groups. He also studied harmony, improvisation, and classical music, but later realized that those established genres were not where his interests laid. He later, in the late 1980s began producing/composing music for plays and was asked to produce songs for groups. His first album was released in 1995.
