Tried it now six times after my come back, but still can't get trough the semis.... and this time i expected it to do, but i was completly wrong according to the bad results.

Seven is my lucky number, so maybe next time? At least one of my 12 pointers qualified, the other () sadly did not. Will post the rest of my points to NQs later.

Semi 2 was really not to my taste, and I struggled to find anything I liked. And to come 23rd confuses me even more. I'm questioning the musical direction NSC is taking since the last few editions, and my place in there...

Let's hope the final will be more interesting!

okay, it felt pretty much surreal yesterday, plus i happened to be sleepy while my qualification was revealed so it all added to that surrealness yk
i had that thought that maybe, just maybeeee... i'm gonna be announced as a last qualifier because i asked for that last number, but those results felt like no, no way i'm gonna qualify... and then THIS freaking happens... it always happens when you expect it the least... especially when things in your life go against all your wishes and desires recently

Thank you very much for this qualification! This edition is pretty strong and difficult to rank songs, but we are so happy that NBS managed to stand out in such a way that our song was noticed and voted for. However, we did, however, lose 10 great songs that we sent our points for...

Thanks, hah yeah since there was not enough people everyone got their draw and the PQs got an approximate of what people wrote. Only Yaponesia's draw had to be overridden by the closest guess :/

Regarding the banners, yeah they were basically a prompt on ChatGPT, with a lot of trial and error and sometimes the image alter tool to remove or alter just a part of the image in cases where it gave decent-ish photos.

For instance I've got your banner through:

(From prior prompts it knew that it should avoid eurovision as a word, make it 16:9 etc...)

Generate a photorealistic image of an otter in blue shoulder padded suit and blue pants, with EU flag on him, singing at an eurovision stage, there is flying baloon on the background, the performance is pop techno, and the staging has a bit of late 1990s computer 3d graphics like tiles as the background, there is also some fire on the stage.

For instance for NBS banner I used this prompt>

JC Stewart - Hey Babe, I'm A Mess, I'm Sorry -- whyyyyyyyy it was literally so great, so touching and the eye-pleasing music video... one of the most underrated NSC entries EVER

Miami Horror - Sometimes -- i expected this, but i'm still sorry this kind of entries get underrated...
Leo Rojas - Indian Fire -- expected sadly as well, but it was so culturally colorful, i really liked that!
Montserrat Caballe & Shirley Verrett - Barcarolle Belle nuit -- this one was 50/50 about qualifying... it was beautiful, the opera singing and classic-ish background music...



Battery Operated Orchestra - Lady Megawatt -- sadly kinda saw the flop here, but not that big i liked the flavor of sound in that song...


11th. Rome - Swords to Rust - Hearts to Dust -- for some reason it felt different from what Trollheimr usually send, but i liked that

Coyote Theory - This Side of Theory - This Side of Paradise -- oh well... but it was so nice and so touching, thank you for a great song + music video
Kelsey Lynn ft. Jordan Snipes - Toxicity -- oh well...[2] it was a nice song, really my cup as well, but yeah, NSC can be harsh to these songs...




11th. Dream - Get Over (SLS music cover) -- a nice, beautiful and chill piano instrumental, it stood out to me
12th. DIJAGNOZA - Zivot. Nastavak -- firstly, I didn't really understand that song, but after another few listens I felt its mood, but yeah, maybe it being hard to percept from first listen is what lead to NQ...

14th. Johnny Cash - So Doggone Lonesome -- it was nice the background picture, which is actually from Fallout, somehow reminded me Portal, but different in details
15th. Jerry Heil - #MRIYA -- i'm still kind of shocked this didn't qualify, it was so strong and so emotional, especially when you understand the message... maybe just musically and artistically a little bit not my cup, that's why not higher
16th. Siente - Feel the Same (Sixth Avenue Express Remix) -- just a nice vibey track

so, I have at least 14 entries (that were in my points or close to them) to vote for in the final + 4 out of 6 PQs I really liked
that's so crazy, it's very rare for me to have so many and left out so many songs I wanted to give good points to...

Thanks man! I've been thinking about sending Maduk for years as he's one of my favourite liquid drum & bass producers, also the founder of the Liquicity dnb label and events, which gave me some of the best moments of my life.
