9th in semi + 10th in reju = 8th in final, have you summed up my points like this?

Congratulations, Sean & ::cyd :cool:
We are happy to see that another song from our Hungarian playlist has achieved success here... But after the penultimate place with this in the semifinals, it would be a considerable risk. :lol::lol: It's great that people have a different taste!

Thank you @dogmeat for hosting (y) although we missed almost everything due to the work schedule...

And please do not forget to vote in our National Final, there is also a song in Hungarian! ;)

Okay, so I kinda had to sleep on this to make it make sense and feel real, and it still doesn't really. Holy shit!

I was kind of at a loss what to send to this edition but found Pók and was quite enamoured by it immediately so decided to take the risk, it was quite a different song for me yet still had a Cygo feeling about it. I genuinely didn't think it would even qualify and even then expected to finish around 22nd in the final. Safe to say I'm absolutely blown away by the response and I can't believe I've just got the highest score for a non-English song ever and the joint 6th highest score in NSC history, not to mention my greatest result in 173 editions of participating xshock xshock

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for such an utterly incredible victory that came out of left field, I genuinely didn't know what to say as the points kept rolling in from unexpected sources. Thank you to;

+ individually to whoever voted for me on the Waiting List and all who supported the song in the semis!

The Cydu people have been partying in the streets throughout the night!!

A word if I may for Riya-Sampetrina, what a terrific fight you gave and a great song - you've almost gone under the radar for me as a nation on many occasions but I love the diversity of your entries and I'm sure you'll get the reward you deserve sooner rather than later. I also just want to say that for anyone who has ever felt like their taste doesn't fit in or that they're never going to get success in the contest - just keep doing you and your special moment will come! xheart

I will post the thread later once I've prepared a bit more but I'm thrilled to be able to finally welcome you back to Cydoni-Gibberia after nine years so feel free to send your entries xheya xheya xheya THANK YOU

I watched the show on rerun this morning.

Congratulations @Sean and Cydoni-Gibberia. Even though the song didn't manage to sneak into my top 10, it was in my top 15, and it's a worthy winner as the points show. Looking forward to your hosting xclap xcheers

Thanks to everyone who voted for Delain. I am satisfied with the fact that the song managed to score 100+ points and that is more than enough for me :)

I have to applaud @dogmeat for an outstanding show. Everything was top-notch. And that 12 for Delain was just the cherry on top of the cake xlove :D

See you in Cydoni-Gibberia!

I was there live (damn you NSC, getting me up at 4am almost every day this week :lol: xheart )

And well, it was my 12 so what I can I say? What a fantastic winner! The first edition after Eurovision sometimes reflects the contest closely (ohai sudden influx of Eurovision artists), but I rather like the poetry of a non-English rock song being victorious here too.

Fuck you for your thank-up hosting Rumia! Always love your innovations. And I’m a big fan of the streamed results too.

Yapo will be back next time... maybe we’ll qualify after 10 editions? Maybe not! But in any case, you can expect a returning Yapo artist (our usual ESC-time annual tradition, a smidgeon late this year).

See you in Cygo!

Last in the semi with this hit is much scandal still, All of Solentoyas news channels covered the flop but still thank you for them hot votes, especially the eliteness of Bigicia and Moisantia. xheat

This is what results would have been like if the format of the previous edition would have been used again:

After part 1 (only announce 1-7pts):

Part 2 would then have looked like this:

Thank you to dogfood for that very Rumian (messy and chaotic) edition, it was refreshing to have a Youtube show for a change. :) Good job of taking the hosting reins at short notice, by the way.

Congratulations on your victory Mr. Big Cat :giggle: Very impressive score, to say the least. Halfway through the results, I stopped caring about the others and just wondered how high you could go. We love a thrilling two-horse race moment (miss @Eulaliya did that), it does not seem to be that common in such contests.
