What can I say?
I can't make her stay
When I know that she's so far above
How could she ever love someone like me
She's out of reach

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

She's so far out of this world
No way I could ever be with her
'Cause I know heaven's your home
That's where angels belong
And it wouldn't be fair
If I keep you down here

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able
And I need you to know
That it's okay to let me go
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Yeah I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And I'm still not sure
What you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able, so
Just let me go (I'm a, I'm a fallen angel)
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I can't recall any instance of having heard anything like Fallen Angel ever. I can recall many instances of having heard something similar to Monument.

Is this statement for real? LOL. So many people have said "Fallen Angel" reminded them of some 90s boyband music. Even the song title itself is a prime example of a typical boyband album track.

Either boyband music is not in your music library or you must be really oblivious.

Try YouTube or somewhere else maybe? Seems to be a lot of bitter fans there. You’re new but the good thing about a forum is people can give their thoughts and have a discussion rather than just spam hate.
Accept and then join the discussion. Otherwise, you don't have to whine that I am constantly laughing at your butt🔥🔥🔥.

Honey, I’m a veteran fan so trust me when I say I‘ve dealt with my fair share of national final disappointments over the years. You obviously haven’t been following for long with the way you’re confusing my opinion with bitterness.

It must be age. I'm 23 and I only caught OD, Jonas Brothers and The Vamps.
Tho "Fallen Angel" sounds like something somewhen, it's... charming.

Not outdated, but vintage.

Urmm. Age doesn't exactly excuse you of not knowing popular music of a different era. I am born in the mid 80s but I know popular 70s/80s music. And there are so many 90s popular boybands revival for the past years, I am pretty skeptical that people are using age as an excuse of not knowing music of different eras.

Since I have archived all music charts since 1991 at home, and boyband were huge in the 90's, I am really struggling to figure out, which boyband song is the blueprint for "Fallen Angel". I would like to know.

Those claiming "Falling angel" is not original, are not bothered by the lack of originality in "Monument", which I find really amusing.

Tumblr, mostly.
Monument has its inherent KEiiNOness though... like... if that's not your thing, then fine good for you, but then Eurovision might not the show for you.

It's not rly a question of orginality, but a question of what each act offered as a whole.

it‘s a shame
the irony
spread his wings with the message “Jesus saves us all”
we’re left with something so cliché and minimal impact that’s already been done to death and that few will even remember in years to come.
Angry and blinded 100%. Cope.

You’ve quoted some musings of mine about TIX’s potential staging. Where is the angry keyboard warrior bitterness about the result? Rather than continue trying to push a story that isn’t there, how about you move on and contribute constructively to the discussion perhaps?

Surprised to see there is so much outrage over a song that's...okay? The lyrics are some basic stuff (they might be different in Norwegian, but they're very unremarkable fare in English) and it takes a while to get going, but I do like his voice, and the song's fine. I gave it a six.

I'm also not quite sure about the staging, but I know they'll have to change it a bit, just because it's got too many people on stage. Also not sure those sunglasses really suit him.

I don't think people are claiming Tix's song is based off a 90s boyband song. They are stating it reminded them of music by the boybands of that particular era. Dated and cheesy.

Personally, I would class "Monument" as a progression and perhaps a reminiscence of KeiiNo's signature sound.
Is it original? Maybe exactly not, but I would say at least it's more original than Tix's song.

The claim of the "people" is rather pointless, when Keiino themselves serve 90s Eurodance, which I loathe, because I am survivor of this abomination. But I totally get it, middle-aged gay men, like myself, are the target audience of Eurovision and 90s Eurotrash is what they grew up with and swung their hips to. And of course they are enthralled by acts like Keiino, or "My guy" in the Lithuanian NF. Because it is their favourite sound in a homonormative fashion, but it's a quarter century too late for that. And that is so backwards and boring to me.

And now Tix is accused of bringing exactly that, but he is bringing something fresh and new.

I ran through of the discography of Take That, NKOTB, East 17, Nsync, Backstreet Boys and none of their songs remind me of Fallen Angel.

Then I can't excuse your ignorance if that is the attitude you have.
Please do yourself a favour and get yourself acquainted with music of different eras before sounding like an ignorant.
It's not that difficult.
Oof, you must be having hard times writing this to 200+ millions of ignorant people watching ESC in May.
