Ok so Elevate was the clear best of these 4, the other 3 were all kinda eh, Elevate may well get relegated down in the future though if the quality of the NF improves. Nothing particularly special in this semi though to pique my interest. Fate Bloody Faith strangely enough I didn't mind but I'm not too sure on it.

Really though, i have no idea why Norway have persued this meh NF format again. Quantity over Quality.

Only one heat in and this year already is better than the 2020 selection. I really enjoyed Faith Bloody Faith (@Stargazer you need to hear this fine piece of cheddar xheat) and Playing With Fire. The latter in particular has great build, and is giving me Zlata's The Kukushka vibes a bit.

Elevate is ok. Some elements are sweet I guess but I'm not wild for it. Let Loose kind of bored me. A bit too predictable.


As others have said already though, we all know what's going to happen. I like KEiiNO and I'm happy to see them back but it's yet another 2021 NF that we know the result of in advance, without even hearing the songs, unless something goes spectacularly wrong. I feel like there's no point getting hyped for the Lithuanian, Swedish, Estonian and now Norwegian NFs as the winners are incredibly obvious. I'll just try and enjoy the songs I suppose.

I would not throw the Swedish nf in the same box as the others, anyone can win there. And I also like to believe that Uku won't win be we all know he will

Why should we care about a musical act that came 11th in the jury voting in the second semifinal and 18th in the final at ESC 2019?

I need some kind of forfeit because I made a bet with a friend that there would be ZERO chance that KEiiNO would lose MGP. Make it as ridiculous as possible because that's how confident I am.

The overtly Christian/Planet of the Apes theming of Faith Bloody Faith has an air of fascism to me that's super offputting. Let Loose could have been more than it was. The other two are fodder. Overall this will probably be another set of semis not to even bother with.

Regarding the first semi "Playing with fire" and "Elevate" are really good in studio version..but I'm afraid they are more radio friendly than for the stage..

I really don't get the hype over Keiino. I hope their song is good, makes sense, and doesn't have a load of insincere smiling throughout, because it does seem like it'll cruise through to win it given the fanbase they have

Norway already announced that they will record their "Plan B" performance later next month. I guess, delegations and the EBU think that scenario C is most likely to happen...

Maybe because they actually won the vote that actually matters : The public vote aka the democratic vote xshrug ... thus ended 6th in the final, above the forgettable jury favorite... so yeah, we should care ;)
