5 points. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure the teenage girls will love it. It will probably make it to the final.

I hope there's a rule in the future, which say that only 1 song per composer are allowed, both for NF and in the the finals. It really looks silly when the same songwriter has multiple songs from multiple countrys in the finals.

Indeed! Peter Boström is in the final with both "Stay" and "Euphoria", and the other guy, Figge Boström had 3 songs in the swedish final and one in the norwegian. I think it is sad that a handfull of crappy songwriters get to push their massproduced nonsense like this, it takes away the possibility for true talents and the prospect of the competition developing into something more interesting. No wonder ESC has become a kitch-festival over the years, no artist with a real musical cred is willing to participate.

Well, to ANY artist, it's the best marketing, there's no other place you can be seen by so many, at the same time. Of course it's up to you as a artist to go with a song of your taste or not. ;)

Seeing all the writers now is making me think, and I have to ask, is it Swerovision or Eurovision??? At LEAST make it so that the composer / composors have the same nationality as the country the song represents!!!

Yes it's getting a bit silly when 9-10 of the songs are written by the usual suspects from Sweden. All with the same sound. Do they live to write songs for Eurovision? Have they had any succes outside of esc, does anyone know?

I think the main reason for comparing the two, is that both songs are typical swedish acts, what the swedes like to call "effective popsongs". The songwriters has a receipe, and they stick to it, and when a song is a swedish production, noone can be mistaken. That's one of the main reasons why I hate "Stay". Tooji is a nice guy for sure. While Saade seemed like an arrogant brat, Tooji gives a very sympathetic impression. But the song is crap, it's not a norwegian production, it falls in the same category as Saade last year, Reidun Sæther from the national final this year. Carola would have murdered her great grandmother for that song. Add a windmachine and a sudden keychange before the last refrain, and you have a typical swedish esc-song.
I think the songwriter workshop-weekends where songwriters comes together to write for the national finals makes the entire competition more homogenic and less authentic for each country participating. The swedish songwriters seems to have a song or two in every final, Thomas G:Son for instance wrote Reidun Sæthers song, He co-produced Spains winning song and he's written Swedens song. I would actually say the swedish songwriters are spamming the contest with uninteresting crappy songs that sucks originality and creativity out of the competition.
Add the new voting-trend, where international jurys are voting in national finals to find the song that would most likely collect most votes from abroad, and you end up with something bland and forgettable wich represent the continent rather than a specific country.

If you hate our songwriters so much, why did you even add Tooji as your avatar pic (afterall it IS a Swedish song)? Hypocrisy much? xshrug ("Hate those Swedish songwriters spamming our contest - however thanks for the winning entry!")

However, I do agree about the problem, but it's not our fault that you (and other countries aswell) allow foreign writers to take part in their selections. It's not our fault that EBU doesn't have any rules concerning this and it's not our fault that we're one of the world's "biggest countries" when it comes to music industry

Maybe because Tooji him self is standing 50% behind Stay and maybe because it was better than Plumbo.

Are you Tooji or you worked with them when they did the song?

His name is attached, but it doesn't say anything. Actually the most common thing is that songwriters, composers make a song and send it to an artist, record label or in this case probably broadcaster, then the artist makes some additional changes (usually some lyrics) and voila -> name attached!

If you hate our involvement, you would naturally hate your entry aswell. So I guess it's ok we "help out" afterall? xshrug

HAHA 50 per cent, stop fooling yourself and look up how its done. According to the writer himself, Tooji put his "touch" on it same as Danny did on his Amazing. its more like 5 per cent Tooji and 95 per cent swedish.

I do want to point out that i see the core problem in this, this year, Swedish song writers are responsible for, Swedens,Norwegians, greece, cyprus,Ireland and Spains entrys. Last year the winner were a swedish production.

I heard Tooji said he was credited beause he wanted to add that etnic touch to the song, that's all. He's no songwriter. Otherwise you're right, Plumbo would indeed had been worse

It's really not my kinda thing.... yet I like it soo much:? Actually found myself purchasing it from itunes before it was even selected for Norway. Id give it 10 points. If Tooji himself wasnt soo great and the song didnt have it's ethnic flavours I probably wouldnt like it half as much.
