sorry but this reminded me of this song after 20 sec...

Because it's also an African song, like this from Kenya/Tanzania in Swahili, just like Haba haba is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VWBND1ggF8
(It's a song to entertain tourists, went there on safari)

But don't we also say that Chinese people look alike? I think that they think we in Europe al look alike too although we think not.

So: yes, it's an African song, but different from Gimme hope Joanna or Waka Waka.

I heard more than 3 african songs and they aren't all alike. like in every music, there is originality and there is "this sound like that ... song".
and this sounds like joanna. I don't hear waka waka-that would be judging the song only by its' origin, like u described.

anyways, the song is cute etc. but I am having issues regarding originality (obviously)

Even though I like this song, I think this is very strange to be #1 @ bets to win the contest!!!
I have the feeling that from next week, France will be #1 and it will be at lower positions (2 or 3).

Anyway, I think it will go very well in Germany!!!

I like it but i don't understand the singer, i mean both her backing singers sing like ten times better than she does.

She has a lot of energy and everything but still...

Maybe it's the fact that she got the energy, charisma and stage presence that put her there?

In the end of the day Eurovision is not an Idol-type of concept. I often distinguish artists from singers. Wheres often artists do not have the best voices, but what they lack in voices, they bring in other ways. Singers on the other hand may have the voices, but often lack in stage presence, originality and stuff like that. Offcourse a combination of both is to prefer, but often you can't get both.

Yes i agree but i think you can find a black singer with a good voice :)

It's just a shame because that song will be like france 2010, a lot of televotes, very few juries, which will prevent them from winning:(

But i don't wan't norway to win so soon anyway:D

Ok, I understand what you are saying. But I don't think the song sounds like Joanna. Our opinions are just different here. But.. Hakuna Matata! ;)

It's a bit charming and I like the music the first 15 seconds (and whenever it appears again) but I was so surprised when it won the mgp and I was even more surprised when I saw it was the odds favorite to win the esc.. even though it starts to losing some ground now.

it has a nice beat and she looks nice as well. But I think it's a bit overrated. I can see it in the final and doing very well, but I wouldn't like it to be the winner. I don't know, but it bothers me a bit that I don't see any connection between this song and Norway. Ooh, I don't know how to make up my mind, I really like the chorus though. I'll give it 7 points, I might change my mind about this song though.

This was the first of this year's entries I heard and I liked it then and it still makes me smile now. However her live vocals are a bit dodgy

^ What vocals? Haha. She pretty much speaks through the whole song, with the background singers providing the needed vocals. BUT this was also the first entry I heard, and it always makes me do a little jig while listening to it. I'm predicting top 10 for it based on televoter support.

The more often I hear the song, the more it annoys me. I started to hate it. First I thought: "Oh, nothing special, but this might be a top 10 song". And now I thing: "Oh no, not again this naiv chic..." But don`t worry Norway: It is the first impression and this is all that counts.

She is cute and positive, as well as the song. I guess it will be among top 10. But... I like strong singers. I like the positive vibe that I get from her and the song tho. :)

A great song! :D Though I never really listen to the whole song, because after the first chorus, all the spirit disappears D: Dont know why, but the first part is a 12 but then it falls down to a 5 or something...

a nice beat, voice isn't that good, but not terrible either, but oh, how UN-Norweigan. Gives me flashbacks from when we had a greek entry in our NF (2009), also a catchy beat but, oh, how wrong it would have felt to send it.
