I would like to hear from MRT why they decided not to take part this edition - especially since we somehow saw a budget draft and heard about them still discussing ESC back in late October...

If it's about financial issues (especially the accommodation costs), I think it's sad that the EBU wasn't able to decrease the participation fees or fees for using props on stage.

I don't think that my country will ever come back under this management team. They participated even in worse financial situation when their employees did not get the salary on time. They did participate even in 2018 when we were not in the participation list, but EBU gave them an extension and they pay the fee. They always wanted to participate, but from last year something has changed. I think the main reason is they don't know who, how to select entry, because Meri Popova HOD for 10 years was not successful in her job and after 2022 she asked for bigger budget. In the program council they always talking about returning, and that it's a shame not to return, but someone does not want this. This year excuse it's just pathetic. Beacuse of the big jubilee 80 years of radio and 60 years of TV. This would be the perfect reason to come back, but they will spend all their budget on some stupid celebrations. Financially they are stronger than any other commercial TV with 6 channels and biggest salaries among other broadcaster here.
