Didrik Solli-Tangen - My Heart Is Yours reminds me of Cyndi 'I'll leave my heart'

Didriks song is pretty good..still very typical Fredrik Kempe-Schlagerballad...something that problably Peter Jöback will sing in MF later on  Norway shouldn't choose this...look what Kempe has done with Sweden...:p

Mira or Keep of Kalessin for Norway in Oslo please! :)

Agreed, the best this song should do is entering second chance, whether it ends up qualifying to the final after that is a toss up. It's an alright song but there is much better to choose from in this semi.

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

Well, the song has been written of Hanne Sørgaard with a little help and support from F. Kempe. So Kempe has not written it all alone. :)

You go Didrik..! xgoddess

esctoday article about A1

Esctoday.com is present in the arena in Skien tonight, and got to talk to Mark Read from A1. They had a spontaneous comeback in Norway in the summer of 2009, because when invited over to a TV show by Christian Ingebriktsen, and it all started from there. After that they had some concerts in Oslo in December 2009.
When A1 got a request from NRK to send in a song for MGP, they were thinking about it for a long time, because they had never even thought about doing such a thing before. They were thinking about making a song especially for the Eurovision, but decided to send in three songs, and let NRK pick the best one. NRK then picked the song Don't Wanna Lose You Again. Their new album will be out in spring/summer 2010, starting off in Norway, and then A1 will take it from there. They have been in touch with Universal in the UK, so it is possible that this comeback will spread througout Europe.Mark told us that A1 really would be delighted to represent Norway in the ESC at Fornebu Arena, and that this could be a great kick off for their comeback in Europe.

Talking about their performance tonight, Mark said that they are really confident with their song, but that the competition is really hard. A lot of famous artists is in this year, so anything could happen.

Marks sends a special greeting to all of A1's fans all over Europe saying he really wishes to see all of them again as a result of their comeback.

Hope that Elisabeth Carew gets a wildcard for the second chance. As for the final, I think that A1, Keep of Kalessin, Maria HS, and Alexander Stenerud will fight it out for victory in the superfinal.

I also though Mira Craig was the best, her only problem was she was having some vocal problems, if she can sort that out then hopefully she can come back.

I watched it out of curiosity and I'm disappointed.
I only liked A1 (the chorus was quite painful though). The rest was bad.

Mira was my favorite...but Didrik will SOOOOOOOOOOO win MGP! :p

I liked him too, I have to say. It is a strong ballad with a guy that many girls and gays would like to watch I guess. I have to say that I really like the acapella part in the beginning! :p

Actually, that song could do very well in ESC too. The jurys and older people will like the song for sure, and since he is young, the younger audience might like him too. Just look at Jade for UK last year, the song is not too different to Didriks one! :)

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

actually I find that Didrik song quite boring and already heard before.
my 2nd fave (after Mira) of this MGP would be another 2nd chancer: the only song in norwegian from semi 1!

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

I'm gonna go ahead and predict the 5th placers that are up for the two wildcards for the second chance round:

Semi 1 - Elisabeth Carew - Rocketfuel
Semi 2 - Tomine Harket - Be Good To Me
Semi 3 - Fred Endresen - Barracks on the Hill

And no matter what I hope Elisabeth gets a wildcard, she really was great!

And I guess that the second chance qualifiers will be Bjorn Johan Muri and Mira Craig unless they get pitted against each other.

I also think that two of these three will get it. Personally, I really hope for Rocketfuel and Be Good To Me! :)

Didriks song was such an obvious ripoff of the little drummer boy, I was just waiting for a baramparampamp to appear in the song

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

I still have no idea why Mira Craig is one of the faves here. Her singing in the first part of the song was terrible and using a stage elevator was done much better by Sarah Dawn Finer last year.

The two songs proceeding to the final were a good choice, I just would have liked to see the Countrysong among those ones qualified for Siste Sjansen at least.

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

Watched last night's Norwegian semi, and was very happy with the results.

My favourites were:

1. Didrik: fantastic song!, fantastically well sung by a guy with an incredible voice and stage presence who looks like a male model and a popstar.
Knowing my countrymen, the Norwegian people's love for ballads and good performances, this combination can only mean one thing: this song will win MGP 2010!!

2. A1: catchy song, well performed by a very professional group. Deserved to go to the final I thought!

3. Mira Craig: average song but performed by an accomplished artist. Cool visual "dress filling the whole stage"- set up. Wish the song had been even better though.

I also liked the electronica-song by Karoline Garfjell.

As for the Final in Oslo Spektrum in February, I think the only song that could beat Didrik's power-ballad is the song by Keep of Kalessin. The metal-song is different than all the others, it stands out and could get votes from all those who like rock/metal, who like something different and non-ESC mainstream music and who don't like Didrik's more "old fashioned" ballad-anthem, besides there being the danger that Maria Arredondo and Didrik will split the ballad-votes. Still, I don't think the metal-song will quite make it, partly because I think Wig Wam's ESC-song a few years ago was even more catchy than this and their performance somewhat more mainstream and also because I think Didrik's power-ballad is too strong and will become too popular here among everyone from 35-70 years of age + among a fair amount of younger Norwegian people too. Still, one never knows - perhaps there will be a surprise in the Final..

Looking forward to the final in Oslo Spektrum. Good luck Didrik, you deserve to win MGP 2010!!

Re: NORGE - Norway 2010

Didrik's song is ok if you ask me, but boring as well. I think it would easily flop in Oslo. He also has no "stage personality", and looks rather confused if you ask me.....A1 were great on the other hand, and they are now my faves along with Keep of Kalessin. The chorus is problematic a bit, but the performance was really, really great, and the song could do something on ESC.

Mira Kraig is over-hyped imo. The song is average, nothing outstanding. Her voice is good, but the overall impression was not good.

I predict that A1 will win, and if not, then i hope for Keep of Kalessin.
