Re: New Acadia - NSC 53 - Les Trois Accords - Ton Avion
Les Trois Accords (tr. The Three Chords), are a rock band from Drummondville, Québec, and got their big break with their first album, Gros mammouth album in 2003. Their most prominent show was in September 2005, when they opened for The Rolling Stones in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, which drew approximately 85 000 spectators. Instead of focusing their music on logic, rationality, and political commentary, the lyrics of Les Trois Accords stand out in the Québec music circuit because they offer something that is similar to the Québec punk scene of the 90's. Their lyrics often contain puns and wordplay. Their entry, Ton Avion, is from their Second full-length album, Grand Champion International de Course, released in 2006.
Lyrics:
Non non, ne prends pas ton avion
Quand tu pars tout est long
Tout est long
(x2)
En sortant de l’aéroport
Je retournerai à l’endroit
Où tu m’as dit je t’aime fort
Où tu m’avais dit que parfois
Tu aimais renifler l’odeur
De mes mitaines à 3 couleurs
C’était avant les détergents
Non non, ne prends pas ton avion
Quand tu pars tout est long
Tout est long
(x2)
Translation:
No, no, don't take your airplane
When you leave, everything is longer
Everything is longer
(x2)
Leaving for the airport
I will return to the location
Where you said you loved me so much
Where you already said that sometimes
You loved to smell the odour
Of my tri-coloured mittens
This was before the detergent
No, no, don't take your airplane
When you leave, everything is longer
Everything is longer
(x2)
