Actually, 32 submitted songs is a new record for Montenegro.

It's the 7th time that Montenegro asked artists to submit their songs and it's the highest amount of entries they've ever got, e.g.

2007: 16 songs
2009: 22 songs
2017: 27 songs
2018: 31 songs
2019: 27 songs
2022: 30 songs
2024: 32 songs

Also, they said that they'd also accept more entries which might be "delayed" due to postal issues (?)

I've never followed the Montenegrin song selection that closely, but 32 just sounded like a pretty small number of submissions

...I didn't like any of the winners in those previous years though

I hope he gets well soon - but yeah, that's why I believe that he didn't submit any songs he co-penned or produced to any NF this year.

Montesong 2024: Selekciona komisija saopštila imena 16 finalista

Nakon razmatranja rekordnog broja prijava, Selekciona komisija je odabrala pjesme koje će biti predstavljene na festivalu Montesong. Pobjednička kompozicija predstavljaće Crnu Goru na „Eurovision Song Contest 2025“ u maju, u Švajcarskoj.
