I always get sad when a Balkan country withdraws - means there's less chance of decent Balkan ballads!!

Ugh, let's not talk about it
When it comes to Eurovision, I'm of the "the more, the merrier" mindset. Despite this, I actually think it's a good thing that Montenegro dropped out. It's no secret that the broadcaster's financial situation has been difficult, and budget unfortunately can play a major role in a song's success (I mean both placement and general perception) in the contest. I wouldn't want Montenegro showing up to this massive culture festival underequipped, so I'm willing to accept them sitting out a couple years if it means they can save up to send something WOW in the near future.

Montenegro has had a few bold entries but overall, it hasn´t been one of my favourite countries in Eurovision.

Anyway, I hope that they will be coming back at some point. They´ve usually been one of the few countries which have been pushing the boundaries (musically).

Enisa for Montenegro? I'd love to see it.

Random - I read that both of her parents are Albanian? - So there was at least some "Balkan" connection.

A pity that her label (Atlantic Records) didn´t want to help Montenegro fund her Eurovision experience.
Clearly, it would have made more fuss than her "American Song Contest" performance.
