Deserved to qualify on the night. I wonder if the national final show and lack of hype killed it. A smaller country likely needs more pre-show hype.

A kind reminder that most televoters have never seen the national final performance and are experiencing the songs for the first time and are unaware of any hype or lack there of unless a commentator has mentioned it

Why did Moldova drop the ball on the staging this year? Not typical for them. I'm not convinced better staging would have made it qualify, though.

Allegedly, budget cuts. TVM couldn't afford preparing, flying, accommodating 4 extra Natalias.

That's kind of sad for Natalia. I wonder did TVM expect it not to qualify regardless of staging, and hence didn't want to invest the funds.

...but come on, NQing (or failing to win a national final) must be a huge loss for most people and not everyone can take it well, so I kind of understand. People would really do well to stay away from their socials for a few days afterwards.

Oh, and a few words of appreciation for the staging, I found it kind of majestic, I loved the colours and the wings - although I reckon most people watching probably didn't. I enjoyed the violin instrumentation and good vocals, but the song was lacking a hook or something original to make it more memorable.

I was somewhat hopeful after seeing the shots from the rehearsals, but no, it's all just way too empty. It was an instant NQ 1/3rd of the way already.

Such a shame, I do like the song (to a degree) but it was too weak for the modern ESC. "Fight" remains one of the best Moldovan entries, this one will be forgotten quickly.

Without her "siblings" from the NF there was absolutely nothing interesting about this performance, and the song itself was already very weak. And without participating this year and and voting in the other semi this was really doomed.

Well she was 13 in SF and get 20 points. 5 points from Portugal was best and 4 from Ukraine.

Indeed, the song is OK and the staging very empty. Colourful but with nothing special. I feel sad for her if the Moldovan TV couldn't afford an actual act.
She did a good job with the material she had. We've had really worse from Moldova but it was a very good year !
