I didn't realise Moldova was tonight as well. I would be excited but this really does feel like the pointless NF of the season to follow. We know lil' Moldova's winner has already been decided. Big ol' jumbo sized grand final as well just to make sure those votes are extra nice and split.

Maybe Jesus will actually interfere tonight and guide Moldova to a fab choice. Dale Dale at this point I think is my number 1 choice. That itself is a Jesus miracle, cause you know these kinds of bops are not usually my thing, but Dale Dale has been stuck in my head for weeks now, and I just love Dianna. The way she performs is incredible.

Prison got a good revamp and parts of it I really like. Those 80s synths are delicious. Problem is the repetitive chorus. I find it monotonous and kind of an unpleasant listen. The song starts off so well but I get tired before the 3 minutes are up. I will give their entry a chance though.

For me this Euroseason became a chain of endless disappointments.
Best selected songs are rated as :4: ( :fr: :be: :sl: ) and from all NFs I like somewhere 10-12 songs.

I thought Albania had a chance with you? :( That's being revamped so maybe you can give it another go..
I forgot about her, but it's :4: too. Maybe :5: with good ESC performance.
From all selected entries I don't see even :6: songs, which is "good" on my ranking scale and the lowest score for participation in my Ideal Eurovision.

Have songs with you ever had the power to start off at lowers number but then rise later on into 6+ numbers?

"Dance Alone" was upgraded from :6: to :8: after her ESC performance.
I had some :5: , which were upgraded to :6: some years after the contest or retrospectively after the first ranking.
"I Love Belarus" was upgraded from original :4: to :6: , when I compiled decade ranking in 2019.

Ok, I still live in some hope then that my faves Slovenia and Albania can maybe eventually get into your good books xbike

I Love Belarus was my 2nd favourite song from 2011. Legendary entry.

You'll be pleased to know actually that Prison is what's expected to win here. It's why some of us aren't allowing ourselves even to get just a little excited. It's composed by Philipp Kirkorov's notorious Dream Team, and they've got bags of 💵💵💵💵💰
So it's all about sim cards like in 2018. :(

Just compare the number of televoters :
2018 :
1. Doredos - 3.813
2. Tolik - 385

2019 :
1. Maxim Zavidia - 938
2. Anna Odobescu - 264

P.S : It's pointless to fight against Kirkorov's wallet, so I can't help and push "Dale Dale". It's better save my money for sim cards in Atranka 2021. :giggle:

@LastDreamer I was going to say the only sim cards we want are yours in Lithuania but you already made the joke at the end of your post :ROFLMAO:

How many points would Dale Dale get from you? It's my favourite tonight. It's not usually my kind of song but Dianna charmed me. I also like the songs from Irina Kit, Dima Jelezoglo and Sasha Letty. But yeah, it feels like there's really no point to follow this live when Kirkorov has a song competing. From those numbers you shared there, it's easy to see how simple it would be to buy a victory. And when you have so many artists in a final (20 of them!), the songs will all be splitting votes, ending on very low numbers.

Moldova would be smart picking bop. Prison would easily run the risk of getting lost in a sea of ballads, but I guess that doesn't matter when Kirkorov hands over a bag of money to you (I'll be praying until the very last minute this isn't the case though).

Sadly :lt: is not :md:. The Roop got 50,139 votes in the final.
So my dream still a dream.

I share the same opinion with you. The song is very weak, even with her best performance it's impossible to get more than :5:

Beautiful blonde in Catwoman mask is a perfect idea for Eurovision performance.

I've been brainstorming a few positives for Prison to soften the blow of losing all our trash pop queens in one night:

  1. It's better than Stay
  2. It's better than Scream
  3. It could kill Poland off
And that's all I've got

I was shocked when saw :sl: on the top of your ranking. It's not bad entry, but why you like it so much ?
Manca Berlec and Parvani Violet sounds more interesting. I think that my top 2 are Parvani Violet and Klara Jazbec.

Upon relistening (yes, I've purposefully made my Saturdays as dull as possible all winter) my top 3 are:

1. Sasha Letty
2. Live Beat
3. Dianna Rotaru (though I feel she's peaked already with her cruise ship realness at the audition stage)

all would slot themselves in around 4th in my ranking at present, but... I know, I know.

I think it's not shocking at all really. Actually I thought it was very typical of me to like such an entry? I'm usually attracted to ballads that create a celestial atmosphere, an almost aching kind of beauty, and that have an overwhelmingly big chorus. And as far as female vocalists go, Ana Soklič's deep, rich voice is a perfect match for my taste. Feeling a connection with the artist is always an important thing for me. In a way, I'm surprised that you're so surprised I love it  The song and artist are both sooo my thing, stereotypically so.
