It annoys me that almost everyone raves about Russian piece of kitsch, whereas Moldovan entry is considered one of the worst. Both of them are outdated schlagers (except that Falling Star is better in terms of quality IMO) so they should have similar reception. Obviously the latter one is from relatively tiny country and the first one is from Matushka Rossija (and he is an attractive man so Eurovision fanbase is delighted). This makes me realise how unfair this contest is.

Or MAYBE people don't form opinions based on a list of genres.
Maybe, but then it's still suspicious that certain individuals are bashing Moldovan entry whereas at the same time they are fawning over Sergey. Both songs are IMO similar so I don't understand how the Eurovision fanbase can have such a different outlook on both songs.
Where is this anti-Moldovan bias coming from? I actually know I'm not alone in thinking "I'd hate this song but it's Moldova so bless 'em." That sure as heck doesn't sound like anti-Moldovan bias.

Because Russia's song is sung by a male singer, and it's scientifically proven that in presence of similar songs within' the same musical genre, fanboys will go for the one sung by a male singer. It's not me to say this, it's a matter of fact. Sadly.
Sounds interesting. Can you give a reference for the article/scientific paper who did the according research you are referring to?
It's not needed, I mean, there are countless examples which proove this theory. For example, fanboys hate "Solayoh" but they like "Golden boy", which IMO are similar songs within' a same musical genre. It was this pathetic bias of the fanboys which led me to start this war against the male singers... because they really are too advantaged in ESC because of the fanboys' support, and therefore skew the competition.
Well if you claim, that what you said, is a scientific proven fact, it IS necessary to be able to back it up with a source. Otherwise it's just a fake argument that just serves to make you credible. Giving one example has nothing to do with science or fact, that's just your personal opinion. It's not even a theory, its just a claim.
So until you are not able to offer the source of your claim, we can consider it as NOT being a scientific proven fact but rather as your personal belief. And you are entitled to believe whatever you want. Other people don't.

Jeez, and people still want to deny the reality of the facts.
