The NF is scheduled on "the end of February". Obviously meaning February 27th or February 28th.

Originally TRM stated "end of January". The regulations say within 1 month of the finalists being out (16/01 - 16/02), and the provisional date is 14th February.

According to the Head of Moldovan Eurovision commitee Vitaliy Kokozharu who gave exclusive interview to kp.md (which was published today ):
... everything depends of financial opportunities that's why the jury decided to provide 1 pre-selectional round and 1 final which is scheduled on the end of February: it's enough time for us and for performers in order to prepare.

It was a bad song anyhow so no loss...

but does this mean they will pick one of the other songs now that didn't make it to the final or will they leave it like this?

If they do, I hope they give Leylla's entry the chance it deserves, because it is really the best they had..

Very fishy that they didn't chose it... I smell corruption in this selection.

Today, Moldovan broadcaster has announced that 5 more finalists will be chosen by public SMS vote from 50 non-qualifiers. This decision follows the march of Turcu's fans who have organized protest on the biggest square of Chisinau against the decision of professional jury which didn't list him in 25 finalists.
