Miss and Mr World 2011 - participants

Does anybody follow Mister International competition? It's taking place in Bangkok this year and the reigning Mr International is Great Britain's Ryan Terry!

Ireland has just chosen Mr International Ireland, and he will represent them in Thailand. It's Brendan Mervyn from Northern Ireland!

Last week we chose Miss and Mister Spain. Miss Spain was won by Miss Barcelona. She is half Swedish and so pretty. Mister Spain was won by Mister Toledo and he's really nothing special. Here are their pics.

I fell in love with Mister A Coruña. He's just perfect and didn't even pass the first round. Now I'm totally sure that these contests are 100% fixed... Here is him, I'm so in looooooove with him and can't believe how in hell he didn't win :evil:

We have Miss Turkey contest for a long time, i don't know since when. But we don't have a contest named Mr Turkey unfortunately. A Turkish guy participated in Mr World 2010 but i don't know how they choose him for Mr. World. We don't have Mr Turkey but we have a popular contest here called Best Model that both male and female contestants participate. I think that's the biggest contest for male models in Turkey. Best Model of Turkey happened recently. I couldn't watch it but later i found this video:

I think Yusuf Çim (the runner-up) should have won instead of Furkan Palalı and there are a few more contestants that i liked. Actually they all look a bit stupid in those swimsuits with stupid poses

Miss Venezuela Universe 2001 dies of cancer

Eva Ekvall, Miss Venezuela and 3rd runner-up at Miss Universe 2001, died after a long battle against cancer. She discovered that she had breast cancer not long after giving birth to her first and only child. She wrote a book telling her experience entitled “Out of Focus”.

We covered the Miss Universe in 2001, when Eva competed. She was intelligent, had a strong personality, and was undeniably beautiful. We feel tremendously for this awful loss.

Eva died at the early age of 28.
