So far, Malta has a really good chance to become my biggest disappointment of this year's eurovision season. I was really excited to see both of my last year's favorites come back - Aidan and Matt Blxck, but both of their songs' snippets sound mediocre at best. The rest of the entries are all either bland anticreative ballads or weird awkward attemps at other genres.

To be fair though, releasing 40 songs and making me not like a single one of them is an achievement in itself lol

Lol I find Jason amusingly shite, joke's on you. YES @ comparing him to Celebrate, that's where my mind went as well. Same level of "Children Show Anthem", except outside of its Blues Clues context it becomes immediately rancid I would put it very low, mostly because I feel like I need to out of self-respect, but not last and possibly not even bottom five? Mark Anthony and Christian have the worst songs imo.

Incidentally, i've been looping Regina's fragment for the past 30 minutes and boy it's an experience. In addition to switching between Spanish, English and Maltese, the Maltese bits sound like drunk English. It's stealthily a very smart decision to pick Maltese words that sound like English (it's kind of how when you're watching a Bollywood movie your brain automatically turns some of the Hindi words into fake English due to the presence of the English loan words), but the English presented is literal gibberish Or maybe it's English deliberately made to sound like Maltese? idk this is what I hear:

I am just watching a mini anime series called "Eternal boys" - it's about ordinary guys about 40 forming an idol group. So, Malta is - unlike my anime series - reality.
