Danijel Stojmanovski is also my favourite overall and I think he would have the best chances Eurovision-wise. I also like "Poludena vo nokta studena" and it turns out that this is the song "Bravo" under a different title which was originally to be performed by Verce Pandilovska. And that poll really is a joke to be perfectly honest. Last year it was also a war between Vlatko Lozanoski and Aleksandar Belov and neither of them came close to winning so its still an open competition.

I love Jova Radeska, I really wish she will win. If this years song is going to be in english she will be the best choice imo.

I'm thinking they'll allow Esma's Band to participate even though the song had been used in that interview ... but what if they actually won? Seems to be catchy and I think it might speak to the viewers the most.
My personal faves right now are Letam Kon Tebe and Akcija Reakcija...
Ti Si Kisi Fenomen is adorable...but I may be biased because I'm a huge Parketi fan. I'm pretty positive they won't win tho lol

That doesn't look like the song from the A1 video. well there were 126 songs and they made the selection the day after the deadline only

Thats typical Macedonian thing - do it in the last moment. I think its not the same song (some romale songs sound the same). Maybe it is a similar one, probably from the same author. It better not be disqualified. :evil:

just rewatched that clip from A1 and you can hear just bits of a song from Esmas band (they play a music video and I havent seen that on music chanels or any channel here :?) and at the end when you hear the singing a bit it sounds like they are singing "Gypsy Dance" :? they might've "saved" the song and that's why it wasn't promoted? I still believe there's a big chance that's the same song :| if not, than all of the Esmas band sonngs are about the Gypsy dance

I am not that much familiar with EBU rules (but what if it is the same song?.. it was only August that the song was aired. :? ) It does look similar (not that same), maybe its a modified version or I don't know. From those 25 seconds, the song is definitely catchy and might resemble "Ninanajna" (up-beat ethno). I think the jury votes will be decisive, as the televoting will be somewhat easy to predict. Btw, how many songs advance from each semi?? 7?

If that truly is the song (which I think it is) then it violates the rules of the competition. No song that competes at Eurovision can be released before October 1st, 2009.
There will be 8 songs advancing from each semifinal.

the EBU rule says that the song cannot be perfomed/aired before the 1st of October :!:
8 songs from each semi will advance in the final on the Feb. 20th!

Good to get 2 answers. Will see soon if the song is same or not in couple of days. I would be angry if it is the same song. So, I'll be cheering that it is a similar song and that all of Esma's band songs are "gypsy dance" related ones.
I shouldn't get to stuck with this song, there are other good songs as well. :|

Does anyone know who the female singer in Tumbao Salsa Band is? I'm not really familiar with the voice, but she looks like Viktorija Loba (JESC 2003).

I've never been so positive about our entries since.... 2008. According to the fans on esctoday website, Esma's band and Jova Radeska are the most preferred ones.
I don't know her name, but I like the song from Tumbao Salsa Band a lot. It reminds me of the style on "Bomba" by Melani. It would be cool if there would be some latin dancing on stage (salsa, merengue, samba or mix of those), I would buy it!
I listened to the clips few times again and it is likely that the first semi has much better songs, imo.
From the first semi I like: Tumbao Salsa Band, Gjoko Taneski, Kerber, Suzana i Darko, Duo Slide, Daniel, Treta Dimenzija. I'm still reserved about Belov. "Lagi" is good perhaps, I will wait for the full version here as well. Thats potential 9/14
