I missed 3ta Dimenzija and Bravo Band!
suprised to see Daniel fail so hard as he did well last year. got 0 from the jury and the televote. (the summed up votes)
I guess the 2nd semi will bring more exciting songs and performances (I hope at least) don't think the winner will come from the 1st semi

Skopje,FYR Macedonia - Today the thrilling three-day festival of Skopje 2010 got its start in FYR Macedonia. Eight of the 14 acts of tonight's semi-final proceeded to the final, to be held on Saturday. A total of 16 candidates will compete for a ticket to the 55th Eurovision Song Contest.
A total of 128 songs were submitted to the broadcaster, MKRTV. Only 28 were chosen to participate in the extravaganza, which peaks on Saturday. The first half of those took the stage today, the other half to follow tomorrow.
But before the competitors could perform, the audience could see the charming twin brothers from the band called Next Time, who represented the country last year in Moscow. But then it's was time for the contestants to show what they've got and the audience to start voting. See the running order below:

Suzana Spasovska & Darko Nešovski - Bog Go Ima Sekoj Kljuc - total of 18 points

They ended with the runner-up from 2009, Yohanna's Is It True, Ruslana's winning song from 2004, Wild Dances, and the song who everyone at today's contest wants to follow - Next Time's Neshto Shto Ke Ostane.
But then, it was time for results. The jury voted for all the songs one by one and then the televotes were given. After the nerve breaking voting, it was sure the participants given in bold in the list before, would be the ones to experience even bigger nervousness on Saturday.

have to state that voting for a song is limited to 5 otes per line!
Tumbao Salsa Band could've send all of them 5 votes ofr themselfs and have that total of 35 :? lol

WTF!!!?? Those numbers are very low! :? Tumbao Salsa band only 35 votes!? Thats like only 2-3 people voted for the song. Weird! :? On the other hand, I expect that Esma's band will have the most televotes tomorrow and on Saturday.

The chorus seems to be stuck in my head. I like the choreography, its fun! It is after all a good song its a good thing it passed into the final, so you are not wackos anymore.

Ok, I'm gonna shut my mouth now. I heard both Vlatko and Aleksandar. Vlatko's song looks nice and what I love is the Broadway feel (if they could add some more background instruments, it would look great). I don't like the na-na-naa part, but the choreography turned nice and a little bit weird at the end. Still, its nice. Now, I know why he got so much televotes. If he rips his shirt off, well I don't want to think of that.
Aleksandar's song is nice after all. I can't doubt Trpceski. The song changes moods and it looks kinda nice (it has a deep melancholic feel) and the mime over there is interesting too. His vocals aren't the greatest though.
I hope someone will upload Suzana & Darko, Kerber and Tumbao Salsa band. I am curious to fully listen to these 3 songs.
From what I heard so far my standings of this semi look like:

2. Darko Ilievski
3. Aleksandar Belov

Hey, how come the diaspora in the U.S. couldn't vote? :evil: We're cool over here too... If I could, I would have voted for Natasa & Daniel, and neither made it to the final. I could have made a difference dangit! lol
But looks like both the jury & the televoters chose Vlatko Ilievski. He was one of the few to actually put on a show so it makes sense, and I guess the girls running around in their panties didn't hurt.
Hope the 2nd semi is better too.
