They should return. The EBU would probably give them as much momentum as Italy in 2011 and Australia this year. DNQ with a decent song is nearly impossible. The people show intrest in eurovision anyways (iTunes chart (1) Sweden (2) Belgium) I feel bad for them

Last year they were interested for a moment to come back but then they finally decided to stay out.
Hope this year they'll come back for good.

People watching Eurovision and voting by phone in 2015 are not the same people at all than those from 1993. So the argument of "long ESC tradition" is not relevant.

They wouldn't need to import a French song though. Not many people know it but Luxembourg's populations is bigger than Iceland's. I think they could send Luxembourgish acts.

Benelux area has a high density. 12,6 M for The Netherlands, 550K for Luxembourg, and 11,2 M for Belgium. The two latest are quite small countries with a huge density (Belgium is 368 ppl/km2 - USA is 35 ppl/km2 that's a lot of people on a such little surface) so, of course they could find someone to represent their country, there's enough people till ESC year 8603 and more...

Yeah, good point there. Luxembourg's population is actually bigger than both Iceland's and Malta's... and I don't see people questioning these countries in ESC
Though to be fair, half of Luxembourg's population is probably just made up by über rich people who are just citizens on paper to skip taxes and hide money from their actual countries of residence ... still though even cut in half, they are still not much smaller than Iceland in terms of population.
