I hope 1 FLTV or whatever is called has become/will become a full member of the EBU by then and will have enough money to enter.

They certainly show a lot of interesting in joining the contest which we can't say for a lot of other countries in the recent years so my fingers are crossed.

If they were to enter are there any artists from Liechtenstein or would they have to look in Switzerland or Germany for an artist

Austria would actually be more appropriate, though Germany is also very near, they don't actually share a border with Liechtenstein.

I noticed that rock is quite popular there.
Radios are overfilled with commercial music.
Imo, they will send something commercial and choose someone semi-professional using reality show system a-la USfO.

The microstate Liechtenstein wants to debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. The national broadcaster 1FLTV (1. Fürstendum Liechtenstein Television) applied for membership of the European Broadcasting Union, 1FLTV Director Peter Heeb told local newspaper Vaterland Liechtenstein.
"If everything goes according to plan, the first participant of Liechtenstein in the Eurovision Song Contest will be selected through a major international casting show," says Peter Heeb. He refers to German broadcasters ARD and ProSieben who used the format Unser Star Für Oslo to pick the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Lena Meyer-Landrut.
How the castings for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will look exactly, is still not fixed. Much depends on the potential partners of 1FLTV. Heeb however already stated that the candidates will not necessarily have to be from Liechtenstein and wants a large national final with ten candidates selected through different channels.

they tried to enter years ago didnt they, with switzerland? or am i wrong?
will be good to see them, i think it has taken a country like Germany to get them into eurovision, i think a few other countries will return too because it is held in Germany (Like Austria have) such as Italy
