I rewatched Hvala Ne two days ago. Lea Sirk sold the song all alone. Attitude, fearless, likeable. True performer. Gives me hope.

The thing is Lea Sirk at least got a performance/staging to match the song. I am not sure if Samanta got the staging correct to help her.

I actually have glasses on, thank you. I wouldn't have gone with this staging to be honest. This would be something that Azerbaijan would have gone, an ethnic-looking backdrop.

She should have gone with something more contemporary to match the vibe and sound of her song. And the dress seems to sort of restrict her movements. Don't get me wrong, the LED background and dress look good, but it felt jarring for the song. Even the outfit she wore in the music video (or similar to that style) where she is dancing with the female dancers would be more fitting.

every artist has a vision about bringing his song on stage - samanta thinks,that this is the best way doing it.
i agree with that 100%.
we have here a very unusual modern avantgarde pop song with this dominant trap bass - this bass (rhythm) interacts with samantas dominant powerful voice - you need here a very visuell bam-bam effect on stage - with the living floor and the LED background and doing that with gold - amber colors with the green dress in the middle fits it very good.
the colour theory works here very fine - no agressive colors involved.

maybe the song is too far outside for the normal pop music taste but we had a similar story also with latvia in 2015.

Even though I like this song and especially Samanta herself, I'm quite skeptical about her chances. I think this will be too much for the average viewer and I don't expect jury support either. But Samanta made it to ESC finally, that's a feat worth celebrating.

I don't really know how it's going to feel tomorrow to see Samanta Tina, one of the artists who has embodied Eurovision for me for pretty much my entire time watching, on the ESC stage at last. I've done the math a whole bunch of times and don't know how to get her into a list of 10 qualifiers, but tomorrow will be pretty magical.

Honestly I'm relieved that it finally comes to an end this week. But before that I will stan Samanta on the stage tonight. Like a soccer mom.

Samanta is my biggest grower compared to last year. Last year, I didn't like the song at all and it was in my bottom of the list. This year, she had my 12 pts right from the beginning. Gosh. I would wish so much for a miracle tonight. But we need to be realistic.

I hope she will qualify, but I don't think so. After that performance during the jury show, I don't think she made the top 10 with the juries. So she would need a big televote score to overtake a spot. Not sure about that.
