Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be taking place at Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 18:00 CET.

The theme of this year's contest is "Let's Bloom."

The following 17 countries have confirmed that they are participating in JESC 2024.

I don't want another mini contest. 2020 felt so anticlimatic so let's hope the pending ones will indeed take part.

Sad about KZ but glad that CY is back. 16 is not that bad of a number of participants, I would've expected worse after this years desastreous main edition.

Listened through the songs selected so far, and wow, this might be the weakest year ever in JESC. All songs lack either fun, musicality or creativeness. It feels much more childish, and not in the good sense, feels constructed and just wrong.
The only one standing out so far is Portugal, who may not have a perfect song, but Victoria Nicoles voice is absolutely breathtaking. Spain and Ukraine is also fine, while the rest, I could live without. I suppose Armenia and Georgia might swoop in and save the day as they usually do in this contest, at least I hope that, cause otherwise I might skip the whole contest this year. :rolleyes:

So yeah this JESC, basically I don't dislike any songs, most of them are ok, that said I only listened a second time to three songs, the others are ok but don't interest me enough to listen to them a second time

So yeah my personal top 3 : :pt: :ee: :ua:

Race for the top 3 will probably be between : :pt: :ua: :am: :es: :fr: :cy:

Dunno who wins

Fine JESC but not great by any means
