Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be taking place at Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France on November 26, 2023 at 16:00 CET.

The theme of this year's contest is "Heroes."

The following countries have confirmed that they are participating in JESC 2023.

:ge: Georgia

:it: Italy
:mt: Malta
:nl: Netherlands
:mk: North Macedonia
:pl: Poland
:pt: Portugal
:es: Spain
:ua: Ukraine
:uk: United Kingdom

** = Returning after a one-year absence


The following participants of JESC 2022 are not returning this year.

:kz: Kazakhstan
:rs: Serbia


This year's JESC has 16 participants, the same number as last year's competition.

:es: is probably my fave and i think had the best snippet, although i think :fr: will win.

:am: snippet with the dragon looked really chaotic to me. Also Idk wtf :ie: was thinking with bringing Sophie back and putting her right up there. She looks like the main singer at worst, or that they're duet at best. A really weird choice that makes 0 sense.

I voted :es: :mk: :uk: although I did nearly switch one out for :ua:

It's the first time I believe that the German entry is not bad, tbh.

Unfortunately, I don't like many songs this year whilst I had some favourites in recent years but I still think that all the kids perform well and I wish them all the best.
I almost voted for :es: and :fr:
They look quite fun in stage.

I wouldn't mind to see :nl: win to see a country win again which hasn't won for a while but it's really my least favourite song this year. I simply can't stand that EDM sound at all.

Germany, Albania & North Macedonia for me. But there are others I'd be OK with winning.
I'd be really disappointed if France won again though, it wouldn't be justified…
Looking forward to seeing the show though!
