Well here is my post performance rankings. Not sure what you will all make of them.

1- Sweden (+3)
2- The Netherlands (-)
3- Cyprus (-2)
4- Malta (+3)
5- Bulgaria (-2)
6- Italy (+8)
7- Belarus (-2)
8- Serbia (-2)
9- Russia (-1)
10- Armenia (+1)
11- San Marino (+2)
12- Slovenia (-3)
13- Ukraine (-1)
14- Montenegro (-4)
15- Croatia (+1)
16- Georgia (-1)

I liked Sweden best. Shoot me. Majorly pissed it's done so bad. Italy is the biggest climber, and for good reason. Montenegro and Slovenia are the biggest fallers. I'm just not feeling Slovenia's song, and I'm massively pro-Slovenia in ESC. The voting has reminded me why so many western countries don't take part.

for 2015 I expect Croatia & San Marino to at least withdraw. Croatia being even disillusioned with the eurovsion concept. I expect Spain to return in light of Italy's win.

Slovenia should have won. Anyway, congratulations to Italy. Meh winner, but I expected it from beginning. At least hope, they won't choose Rome or other mainstream city to host it (it they will do).
Shame to EBU for Online Voting, they failed it very much.

I hope to see a few returning countries next year... Romania (my new home) being one... Israel... UK, Spain, Denmark etc....

Well damn. If Malta couldn't bring the UK then I don't hold much hope for Italy doing so. I hope under the new private channels can take part that one of the millions of channels we have will give it a bash, it would be more fun to watch the UK flop in JESC too.

Just because Italy won doesn't mean it'll be in Italy next year. The host country isn't normally the winner of the previous year's JESC, I guess it was a co-incidence that Malta was picked to host JESC 2014 (presumably before JESC 2013), and Malta ended up winning JESC 2013.

BTW, still an amazing result for Bulgaria considering the bad draw and the fact that she had a big cold. If Italy's performance hadn't been as great as it was Bulgaria would certainly have won. Their song was, after all, the best one this year.

last place? :(

An expected outcome from the start. This is what happens when you are not competing for a very long time and you lose a touch with new trends. As soon as I saw the performance, I knew we were doomed.

The future of Croatia at these competitions is not bright one bit!

Well done HRT, you´ve done it again!

I only feel sorry for Josie (just like I do for anyone who ends up last).

I think it could be a good sign for Romania though next year..
101% certain San Marino will be back
Switzerland may make a return
Croatia will leave again
Malta wont leave..
The usuals will be tehre... Belarus, Netherlands, Ukraine etc...
but I am afraid that there will be another bunch of ballads lol

Tbh, I expected more from the show. I liked the stage, but the whole backdrop and the ligntning were not great. I had an impression that the show was taking place in an arhaic theatre because of this, but anyway, I still enjoyed.

I am not happy with the winner. Although it was a great performance, the song, for me, is a real sleeping pill. :bg: deserved to win, and too bad it didn't, but still the song got an amazing result, totally deserved.

I am also glad that :am: did well, as the song was great and I saw it as a dark horse as soon as I heard it. :mt: is a surprise, but the girl just NAILED IT with her vocals. Well done.

I am happy with our result. We managed to end in the top 10, so it is a good result. Emilija did a great job and she represented our country in the best possible way xclap Bravo Emilija!

I am sad for :sl: (criminally underrated) and for :se: as well.

:hr: was, predictably, last :( The song wasn't as bad as many people were claiming, but her performance was horrific. She was way too scared and the whole act was just very bad. I am very sad for her, because I think she is a great girl and she didn't deserve this :(

I will write more what I think about each performance from tonight as soon as I get more free time.

:sl: shocked me with such a bad result
:se: I wasnt expecting a better result
:mt: Federica IMO should have won... but that may be pride / emotion taking over... I got goosebumps... and now thinking about the landmark I am getting happy again
:bg: probably would have won with perfect vocals
:nl: and :cy: were tough for me, i couldnt decide who would do better
:rs: was a good song / performance but it was a bit Bosnia 2012

Not to mention completely offkey during the entire song.

she seemed so sweet in interviews and stuff, and I feel bad she came last... but it was just a bad performance overall

I think it's results like that which really bring into question competitions like this. Overall she only had 1 point if you take away the 12 points automatically given. I know children are more resilient than people like to think but i'm sure it's really upsetting to see everyone reject something you spent a lot time working on, and is something you are really proud off. Especially in such a big event like this. While I took an interest this year, i'm not a massive fan of the JESC concept purely for that reason.

^^ I was expecting a potential double win for :mt: after Federica's performance. I personally don't like the song, but her vocals are outstanding and it was the best performance imo. So, it would have been a deserved victory.

I agree about our performance. And the songs are also similar. Still, I am satisfied with the end result for our song.
