But televote is only 34%. How is he gonna win this??Because he's clearly winning this + his song entered the charts at #1.
He's from Naples (Southern Italy) and is singing in the local dialect (language?). The people from there are very proud of being represented so they vote for him en masse. Why suddenly Geolier is at 40% winning chance in the betting odds???? The difference between him and the rest is becoming quite big already.
This kid is good. Nice rap.
It’s ok, but most of the voting comes from juries and press. Unless he gets more than 50% in the televote he’s chanceless. He's from Naples (Southern Italy) and is singing in the local dialect (language?). The people from there are very proud of being represented so they vote for him en masse.

I didn’t know the juries were involved there. I thought it was 100% televote.Geolier won the Second Night which was 50% jury and 50% televoting as well.
The commentators in the RTVE streaming explained that he is similar to Tanxugueiras because he is singing in regional dialect of Naples, it isn't a full language, but there's a big regional support for him to win the contestWhy suddenly Geolier is at 40% winning chance in the betting odds???? Somebody here wrote that the juries are actually made up of some local press so they will likely not give him a bad result either. It’s ok, but most of the voting comes from juries and press. Unless he gets more than 50% in the televote he’s chanceless.
The Italian charts don't have to have an impact "on the rest of the world". Just on Italy since Italians vote in Sanremo.like what happens on the italian charts has any impact on the rest of the world. jesus christ the only people less musical than the italiens are the french. no 1 in italy means certain death in the rest of the world.
I agree with that. But San Remo is watched by 10-15 million people in Italy. For Tanxugueiras was much easier to win in a show with 2,5 million viewers. The commentators in the RTVE streaming explained that he is similar to Tanxugueiras because he is singing in regional dialect of Naples, it isn't a full language, but there's a big regional support for him to win the contest
Oh boy, first time I watched I was sooo confused! My favorite part of Sanremo is looking away for 5 seconds and playing the “Wait, are they competing or is this an interval?” game
oh so that's what was off with the advert! I had a feeling something's not right but I couldn't put my finger on itDid they just advertise Eurovision in Malmö by using the official logo with the Ukrainian flag instead of the Swedish one?
