Bookmakers know many things that bettors don't. Perhaps they have learned that Rai is not willing to host the ESC and, as it has historically done before its return, is trying to sabotage its artist. They want a top 5 or top 10 and nothing more. The hypothesis is strengthened if we think about the disclosure of the data which has cast shadows on poor Angelina and that Rai is experiencing a hard period of internal changes and protests by its journalists. Why are her odds slipping so much? It's such a good performance
Hmm this isn't how odds work.Bookmakers know many things that bettors don't. This. Bookies' knowledge is actually very, very limited.Hmm this isn't how odds work.
It's simply by the number of bets being placed. More bets placed equals higher odds. Less bets equals lower odds.
I'm just puzzled why less people are betting

Yeah, I need to second this. Bookmakers just need to come up with the opening prices (mostly they will just copy what the others are already offering) and then follow the money (setting limits, balancing liabilities, basic risk management). What bookies can do is profile the accounts, tag some of them as sharp punters, and give more power to certain bets based on their track record. I would say 99% of the odds movements are re-active to the way money moves, and maybe 1% is pro-active.Hmm this isn't how odds work.

A bit disappointed it broke the top 6 result for Italy, but nonetheless 7th place was good
Another top 10.
ITALIA
Last year it was 6 consecutive top 6 finishes, and now Italy has 7 consecutive top 7 finishes! Congrats! Will they get 8th next year?
I really wonder where Angelina's votes came from this year
How come Italy's usually blanked by the nordics / some western countries We didn't give them any televote points last year either, and not for Brividi either I think
Oh, but not Brividi right? Cause I remembered I was shocked one year when I realized we didn't give them any points
