As I'm suffering from trypophobia, I feel very disgusted and uneasy by all those patterns.

I'm very disappointed because it's one of my favourites. I'm having a hard time even looking at the pictures, so maybe I won't even watch the performance.

I'm very sure this staging will look stunning with the real camera work.
It has all the ingredients for a fantastic and original show. There isn't an ebition similar to this.
I know that some of us preferred her alone in the stage but I'm also convinced that it would have been tough for her to cover that huge stage without having the possibility to interact with the public. Even the big stars don't stand alone with songs of this genre, just have a look to their performances in various tours or concerts.
I watched the first rehearsals of Mahmoud 2019, Maneskin and Mengoni. All very generic without showing that much ( I remember everyone complaining about Mahmood and Mengoni stagings, we know how it ended)
I'm sorry for all them suffering various phobias, Angelina has no fault because does not know us one by one. If any of you love the song, just vote for it without caring about the staging, which is just a three minute moment, and doesn't influence that much the quality of the song and singer.

1. What we witnessed is a fragment of a test. It can give an idea but is not exhaustive. Giving definitive judgments for each act in the competition is now illogical. The staging must be evaluated within three minutes. The word "rehearsal" should also indicate that the staging may undergo changes.
2. When the Italian artist is alone on stage, the lack of choreography or the lack of ability to construct it are criticized at the expense of concentration on the musical/vocal side (which, if you think about it, we are at a singing competition and not at the Sundance Film Festival). Here the choreography is there and it's good.
3. The dark climate is bullied by the same people who hated chili peppers and overly Mediterranean references. Making peace with your brain is the first step towards inner growth. "La Noia" is defined quite generically, often even by those who want to denigrate it, as a catchy diva song. If this is the reasoning, yes the climate is too dark. However, "La Noia" is not a summer hit as many say but a "hidden ballad". Have you translated the lyrics? Are they cheerful? Have you followed the level changes of the song (perhaps the only one in 2024 to have tempo changes, various musical and interpretative nuances)? Is the point where Angelina screams her pain without music a summer hit?
4. Those who rage against Angelina, mostly demonstrating that they are making excuses, are weaving their hopes to the detriment of objectivity. Repeating a lie a hundred, a thousand, a million times... No, it will never become a truth.
5. Many people around are talking about "Occidentali's Karma Effect". Gabbani first without opponents in the pre-season but before the start of the competition Sobral had begun to grow. Angelina has never been before, in fact, I see her deliberately "underestimated" (she maintains a linear third/fourth place) by bookmakers. Could she be the "surprise winner"?
6. The Bubble is always too busy fighting. Enjoy the songs and the show. If Baby Lasagna, Nemo or the Ukrainian duo wins, applause to the winners. Relax. Some of you make the ESC a reason of state.

And to add one thing to your point at no.1: even the betting odds don't usually change that much after the first rehearsal, but after the second one and After the jury show. First rehearsals are really just a hint of what the performance may look.

So the delegation decided to put in some efforts in the staging afterall. The outfits/throne look good, but the backdrops are swallowing Angelina and the dancers. Look a little busy from the pictures, but hopefully it won't when they got the camera angles right for the TV performance. Still hoping Italy will win this year's contest.

Oh I loved the previous outfit. They could keep the dancers with the black ones and Angelina with the previous one so she can stand out more. Anyway, small details, she looks gorgeous.
