7. Coma_Cose – L’addio
2 years ago they have deserved a much better place - 2023 is more traditionell type of song - it is a ok song but not more 4/10

Most of the songs were "conservative" though, 2011, 2015, 2016 were all kinda ballads (but in other genres), but yeah not all were standard male ballads, but still. Something happened in 2018 and in 2019 Italy entered the actual century, but like I mentioned earlier it's like there is a clash of generations in Sanremo where we have seen modernization slowly happening but then the juries fall back in old patterns.
You would call 2015 a standard ballad really? It's more operatic honestly
It is maybe one of my favorite eurovision songs of all times.

Not sure about the last years, but I'd say THIS edition feels quite conservative so far. Of course, that's bound to change at some point, but for now, there's no disruptive element like Soldi or Zitti e Buoni...

I didn't call 2015 a "standard ballad", but conservative 100% and of course a ballad (not Pop ballad but operatic-Pop ballad), so yeah conservative male ballad fits well to describe it.

Good for you, alot of people love that song too and that's fine. I am not commenting on personal taste, just that Italy has a tendency of going very conservative in Sanremo and ESC except for a few exceptions and if people like that it's of course good for them. For me personally, I prefer the Italy with more oomph and modernity to it, with that being said of course it doesn't mean that what Italy sent always was bad per se (although I personally can't stand 2015 but that's a different topic), just maybe not that exciting (for my taste at least).

So as I understood no really outstanding song so far. Let's see what's to come!
Ana Oxa and Mr. Rain are good for different reasons. Arite has the strangest song with two different tempos in it. Marco and Ultimo are still the early favorites.

Oh, Elodie was good! My favorite so far!

Edit: Maybe not favorite. I think I still like Mr. Rain more but she was good, too.
