Noemi performed last and the televote was shut immediately afterwards. That's probably not very significant, but still...

Do we already have a draw for tonight´s show? - I want to torture myself again and watch the Irish national final but I also don´t want to miss Emma & Francesca´s performance of one of the biggest pop songs of all times!

Betting Odds Eurovision 2022 Italy first 14%?!

From the first listening I knew that Mahmood & Blanco would make life difficult for anyone. I was surprised by the Spotify ranking, the YT views but above all by the great love of the fans from abroad. I admit that the work of Amadeus and of the Italian discography (which have aimed at rejuvenating and believing in indie reality) is beginning to show. We are, after a "period of darkness", beginning a "resurgence of Italian music". Probably, as Ajeje Brazorf rightly stated, we will be able to see again after a long time a multiple winner from Sanremo. What surprises me about M&B is not only the song and their synergy but if we look at the video we can feel a product that in the past would have been among the best in the MTV schedule. They, even if very young, seem like artists with a very long career behind them.

I advise you not to miss the "cover night". You will be able to watch singers sing songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s with special guests. Surely A-lister would scold me but I think that if a "cover night" were added to the ESC the race would become more fun.

On Sangiovanni I think he has talent. The sound of "Farfalle" is very good but the singing not convinces me a lot. I think he will enter the Top 10 (he has many fans and followers among young people) but he will not win.

I want to make a prediction, probably one between Irama and Elisa (I think more the second) will not enter the Top 3. The winners of Sanremo 2022 will be M&B with their ballad which is not completely ballad (this is good because it helps the singers to no end in the "bubble ballads ESC" struggling bitterly to emerge among the many songs).

Apart from the surprise and a hint of enthusiasm, I am very calm. This year, compared to other years, we don't necessarily have to aim for victory. We have to bring a quality product to make a good impression and maybe finish in Top 10. If we finish in Top 5 or Top 3 then it would be a great success. I don't believe in the second victory but ... who knows ... fate is unpredictable.

Betting Odds is relatively important to me. Italy will certainly go down in the ranking (even after the advent of Melodifestivalen 2022). The peak now is due to the fact that we won last year and that Sanremo is now underway. If we keep a Betting Odds position among the top 5 after the game is over, it is a very good result.

I wouldn´t mind seeing Italy win again since it got robbed back in 2015 and 2020 (I honestly think that Diodato would have won Eurovision as well) BUT it would also be great to welcome a new Eurovision winner, a country which hasn´t won before.
