Together with the small Pesaro, the only Italian city that has presented a serious candidacy project for 2022, the other cities have arenas full of appointments for May 2022 and have not presented an official candidacy

yes, but tomorrow the competition to present the candidacy expires, I don't think that today, which is Sunday, the various mayors of other cities are working, if they had been interested they would have already presented the official candidacy.

The bidding process ends tomorrow at midnight so they have all of Monday to apply. And we know of Turin and Pesaro because it was announced on their socials, I wouldn't be surprised if other municipalities will announce their bidding after the deadline. Milan, Rome and Bologna meet the required criteria and all cities will held elections this fall, it wouldn't look good for the current mayors to not even apply.

Seeing 11 cities in this stage of the process is incredible. It seems that all of them meet the criteria. Seriously, I love it how Italy turned out to be so invested into Eurovision.

More like 11 cities actually decided to participate in the bid, even though not all of them meet the requirements. The missing 6 cities decided not to submit the bid after having checked the requirements more thoroughly.
