Actually, only the winner is offered to go to Eurovision. If the winner refuses, Rai asks someone else regardless of the final ranking. I lowkey hope they'd right this wrong by picking Loredana. xpray

Hoping for Il Volo now, I suppose. They'd maybe even stand a chance at being my current #1 for ESC, given that I'd probably give them an 8 and I haven't yet given anything above 7 to any of the songs chosen so far.

But I'm sad to miss out on Loredana and Simone, especially when there were so many promising signs and the former had so much momentum behind her. What's the chance that all of the top three pass on the Eurovision ticket, I wonder...?

Gosh the thought after this wonderful festival we will end up with Il Volo at Eurovision again... xpuke avoid at all costs

Il Volo were terrible,and didnt even look bothered,the fact they made the podium is a disaster for SR.The crowd know its a farce,maybe handing the televote so much power was stupid.The crowd arent interested now.The format changes have been a disaster.The incredible songs missing out on the podium is a joke.Ultimo will likely win,but that says have the latest big hit you win SR,and that would destroy the competition.Incredible the crowd booing the podium,but deserved.

But EBU would be delighted with them in Tel Aviv, to challenge Sergey Lazarov with televoting.. :? :rolleyes:

Yeah but I remember Rai said in the past its the fairest way to ask 2nd 3rd and so on.

Lets hope the outrage pushes them to choose Loredana.. apparently Ultimo has sold out concerts in Eurovision week. Cant see the other two refusing :/

In a sense, I suppose the best outcome for me would be Ultimo winning, declining, and then Loredana being picked for Eurovision.

That way I get a Eurovision act I'm happy with, but still keep up my prediction streak over at Eurovision Prediction (where I predicted Ultimo to win, am currently doing rather well, and want my bragging rights :lol:)

If I remember correctly, someone said earlier that Il Volo have concerts in Japan during the Eurovision week too. xthink
I don't know if they'd cancel them or not.

I want Loredana at Eurovision but more than anything I think I wanted her to win the legendary festival of her country that is Sanremo. That should have been her moment. To not even make the top 3 after a performance of that magnitude is insulting. The Bertè sisters are such iconic Italian artists and this felt like it was the very obvious moment to crown a Bertè. It would have surely meant so much to Loredana and following in her late sisters footsteps at Eurovision would have been a special experience. She's been so robbed here it's unreal.
