In 2012 it kinda was, sadly In 2013 and 2015 as well but they were on par with the shittyness of those songs

2011 and 2016 were superb tho, while 2014 was fun, if we disregard Emma's vocals xD

Don't worry, Franco. The Italian song is sooo good this year that the starting position won't stand in the way of success. I am sure of it.
By the way, Germany also got first half, and that's a completely different situation (being first in the betting odds for last place already now).

Well being a "terrible choice" hasn't stopped them from doing it in the past But apparently Bjorkman likes the song so unlike last year this year Italy is safe and should get at least a decent draw

Yesterday, on tv-show L'Arena there was an interview (in italian) with Francesca, recorded before her leaving for Stockholm.

She talks about her beginnings at X-Factor, to Sanremo and how she has asked Rai to send her to ESC if the Sanremo winners didn't want to go.
Then, several people are wishing her the best.
Last, she performs NGDS with a piano.

On one hand, I wish she had chosen a simple staging with just her piano for the ESC stage, too.
On the other hand, since she is in the first half, maybe a colorful staging like the one she has chosen could help her being remembered at the end of the show.

This is the first entry that I don't like Actually, maybe I don't really dislike it, but I just find it as "nothing special". I loved every other song since their return, but this one is just ok. I don't expect too much from the end result either, as final will be really tough.
