A lot of people are saying this, we didn't try at all!!!! Nicky Byrne more than likely went up to our HoD and said "I'd like a go" and they figured "big name, this could be good!". He's being pushed a lot by RTÉ here for some reason, he's not an amazing singer and as far as presenting goes his only skill is that he looks great in a suit.
The reaction here is mainly negative. Though I can't tell if that's out of public anger at RTÉ or genuine disliking of the song, it's hard to tell.
It's trash. It's not even trash because trash is its own special thing, this is just bland and boring and cookie-cutter pop. There's no emotion here, there's no passion, just a plain pop song stuck to a famous face. As a song it sounds like a horrible mash between Autumn Leaves and Heroes that got watered down. I hope they change this, or at least call him
"Nicky Byrne (from Westlife)" when he performs, otherwise we don't stand a chance at qualifying at all
