Mmmm, The color is pretty irish.
About the Staging, where are the Heartbeats Ireland? I was Waiting for something like Turkey 2009 and those square particles beating hearts, I don't mean exactly but an idea.

About the realization,is that the Dress that she will use in the final? Nice Dress, But not for a Performance with this kind of music, This is like a Beauty pageant Dress.
I would have like more a Dress Like That One Sanna is gonna Use.

But in Overall is okay.

Oh noes, I am so upset. The whole staging was awful. The background is not even colourful, it looks like dirt :O Why did they choose golden? Its not a James Bond song, its a powerful song in which I saw a waterfall, maybe some green lights and stuff ... :( I am so sad right now :(

Right it seems so obvious, doesn't it?!
Blue/green hues should be the colour scheme....not a rusty, yuck gold colour.
The staging looks completely amateur.
Honestly, they've had months to come up with a proper concept and this mismatched mess is the result?
So angry right now!

dear Ireland please change something. This year you have a great song and should be in the final unlike some other country

Typical out of touch Ireland  But the UK will suffer the same staging fate I guess.

Hopefully all will look better on camera!
But I remember hearing an interview where Kasey said she would move around the stage unlike the NF performance. Did she drop that so she could wear that dress?

hmm...ok after seeing the pictures on the eurovision site and seeing Kasey's dress close-up, I must admit I have done a complete U-turn on my original opinion.
I "get it" now. Kasey is supposed to be a Celtic warrior princess and the gold backdrop is her palace with the outer backdrop representing a storm raging outside. The dancers are her Celtic warriors who have just come back from battle.
They are using old Celtic imagery to show the message of the song is timeless.
It is actually quite genius when you think about it.

Nobody's gonna bother spending time thinking about it because of how ugly everything looks.

It looks messy now because of it being the first rehearsal and being shot on a phone from halfways back in the arena, but it will look really good on tv I'm sure:D

Agree. We analyse every little thing we forget that it's a REHEARSAL. Most of the in music shows you never even see them. We can take a few things from seeing them, but ruling out or ruling in a song based on them is risky business. As long as you nail it on the night, nothing else matters.

I still think Ireland are qualifying. But they have to improve if they want top 10 in the final.

But that's how we see every entry, and most of them look way better in comparison.

One of the worst rehearsals so far and a quite forgettable song... they have to improve a lot to not stay in the Semi.

It's a potential winner for sure...the jury will love the story behind the staging.

Juries dont wont on a narrative.
Vocal strength = weak
Originality = Poor
On stage performance = Terrible
Overall Impression of act = Forced/poor

A it stands thats what the jury are seeing and thats what theyd vote if following the guidelines.

Ireland are in serious trouble here unless they up their game a lot. They look like they just want to go home.

Just change the background, it ruins everything, cause is a top 10 material song.

Are they even allowed to change the background? I'm not sure if they can.

Yes they can, that's what the rehearsals are for - making changes
