The Ireland thread has been extremely quiet over the past few weeks. There's not much to say about this entry. After listening to all 37 songs it just blends into the background. It's not even stupid or silly enough to be memorable.

That's exactly "the problem" with the song. It's somewhere in between for me. I'm getting a Horehronie vibe from this one, let's hope I'm wrong.

Horehronie was seen outside ESC as a kitschfest. In a TV show, it was the most laughed at act of the semi, along with Aisha being off-tune and singing in an ugly robe...

Kristina was mainly off-tune, awkward and the dancers with the leaves and the chorist singing Allelujah were seen as ridiculous things, while it was praised among Eurofans...

When we could see how it was laughed at in French TV, then it was easy to understand why it failed.

Contrary to Kristina, Kasey seemed really at ease on stage, has a charming voice and great attitudes. The whole show was quite tacky, but they can work on something better. The only bad thing is that the production is too 'Eurovision/Jonas Gladnikoff' and the intro is quite bad. They should work on a better production. But the song is clearly a very strong one, though not being among what is produced best worldwide, that's obvious !

I though it was a very bad song at first listening, but it's so catchy that I had to love it in the end ! :)

Recalling last year I don't see or rather hear where this song is better than last year's which finished last.

I wish the vocal was stronger, that's all which is stopping me from giving it 12...

"Going the way of Wogan", oh he wishes. And did Marty really say those things?! I was under the impression he knew nothing about the contest until he arrived a week before the first semi final and read up about it then. He's such a self-centred old-fashioned twat, when RTÉ did that beyond disastrous interview with Pussy Riot, there was a segment about Marty Whelan's new hair transplants eating up precious time beforehand. He's not made for the modern contest and he shouldn't be commentating anymore, he's the reason I watch the contest on BBC now like.

It would be great if they could get someone a bit younger to do it instead of Marty.

Mairead Farrell would be a great choice considering she is a self-confessed euroqueen, so she'd bring some youthful vigour to it.
