I know some people find it old fashioned, but I honestly think if Ireland send something in the same vein as their 1996 winner "The Voice" but perhaps a bit more updated. I think it would do really well for them.

Someone needs to awake Enya from her Castle. Or perhaps for the nostalgia send Samantha Mumba. "Gotta Tell You" was the first album I ever bought as I tend to wipe from my mind Steps "Step One" as my first

I really don't know, what I want from Ireland. They ballads in 90's was great, but today it's old-fashioned (not to me).

I said in another thread but I think we need to diversify genre wise. I also think we could do with being more creative and take more of a risk. At this stage I think it's more risky to not take risks.

We probably care a little too much about what Eurovision wants too. We should stop trying to chase Eurovision votes around and just focus on making the song....no matter how unconventional it might turn out to be.

Ireland should also take note that being creative and unconventional doesn't have to mean sending a Turkey. It can be classy crazy too.

Where's a "Not Crazy After All" when you need it?

So according to this article from Wiwibloggs, RTÉ is more happy to pay an old woman €300000 for four hours work a week, as well as to pay her friends obscene amounts of money, than to reinvest that money in a DMGP-style NF, something that would be a great light entertainment show for a few months, and that would also select our representative for Denmark. No, instead we're doing the same thing as we did this year and last year and the year before that, with the only difference being that we might bring in people who didn't even make it past the auditions of The Voice, seeing as the finals aren't finished til late April. Seriously pissed off at RTÉ, but sure what would I have been expecting from that useless state liability.

I think Ireland could win with something like that. Then again does RTÉ want to win?

If they are gonna make something like Waterfall, I agree. But I would love to see something like Lipstick, I wouldn't mind at all :D
