And so what if Australia votes according to its diaspora? Frankly I wouldn't care, Australia at the ESC would be extraordinary! xD. But it's not workable I think. What I would *so* much like to see is for Asiavision to be revived! And organised in November. Imagine, we'd have a giant international musical event every six months!
I'd also wish the Latino-American song contest would be revived.

My wet dream is to see Song Contests appear on each continent, and send their top representatives to the World Contest. Mahaha.

I have the same dreams as yours! :D

Now you've been speaking of Australia so long. Reading this thread, a lightbulb appeared above me:
What if Australia was a permanent participant? So it would take part every year. I think they could be allowed to send in songs. Because they love Eurovision!

Sealand xlol

The Principality of Sealand is an unrecognized entity, located on HM Fort Roughs, a former World War II Maunsell Sea Fort in the North Sea 10 km (six miles) off the coast of Suffolk, England (51°53'40"N, 1°28'57"E).

Since 1967, the facility has been occupied by the former British Major Paddy Roy Bates; his associates and family claim that it is an independent sovereign state. External commentators generally classify Sealand as a micronation rather than an unrecognized state.[3] While it has been described as the world's smallest nation,[4] Sealand is not currently officially recognised as a sovereign state by any sovereign state. Although Roy Bates claims it is de facto recognised by Germany as they have sent a diplomat to the micronation, and by the United Kingdom after an English court ruled it did not have jurisdiction over Sealand, neither action constitutes de jure recognition as far as the respective countries are concerned.

I'm afraid I'm one of those sulky people who think Eurovision should be just for us. If they want to have a song contest, they can found their own contest. This one is ours! :)

But no, even for my Australian cousins, they shouldn't be entitled to come into Eurovision because they aren't a European country or in the EBU, nor are they entitled to join the EBU. It'd be too complicated and not really worth the effort.
