Yes i can see what is about to happen and the problem is not only that there will be no ''Oculis videre'' in Rotterdam. If Dadi goes to Eurovision he will get similar level of hype as The Roop and right now that's the last thing i want to see happening.
Yeah I hate that, but I can manage if this happens with a country that just didn't have anything good. Like if this was Estonia then by all means go for the memes. Or Latvia has a bit of that as well with Queen Samanta, that's totally fine.

Actually, I was listening to Dadi's song and, to me, there is actually something that differs it from On Fire (as both go towards the campy quirky side)

It is so heartwarming. After listening to it, I was just "own xheart". It's so feel good that I was feeling like I was in love while not experiencing something of the sort for years. And it was beautiful.

basically what love is forever should have done and failed completely for me oop

I just came out of my cave and realized this song. I set aside my eternal love and respect for Svala, but how come Iceland didn't send this in 2017? To be fair, the composition is miles better than Think of Things, I'd root sooooo hard for them in 2017. I also like their song this year, but 'Is This Love' is ANOTHER LEVEL xheat xheat xheat

Wow, Got to know from a friend who is not in the ESC-fanbase that this pretty big swedish social media influencer has now been uploading herself dancing to "Think About Things" and it has pretty much exploded with all kinds of stuff involving the song. Check it out below, this song is already becoming meme-famous even before it got selected! xfaint xdance2

Ok it's clear now that he will win easily in Iceland's national final and after that Iceland will climb on top of odds!

I'm not a fan of both songs but I would rather see Iva in Rotterdam.

Imo The Roop are in a much higher level than Daði

I don't think that The Roop and Daði is that similar. Sure, they are both looking for the fun and quirky votes, but The Roop has a much more mature sound while Daði is more edgy and humoristic. I think I prefer The Roop slightly more, but if Daði would win on saturday, then Iceland will for sure battle for my top spot for the 2nd year in a row. :D

ESC fans always like to make comparisions and The Roop was the first to come to my mind after reading some posts here  I totally agree with you. The Roop's song also sounds way more professional to me

^ I don't understand the video either...sure Iceland is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, but the song has nothing to do with sitting in a car...

I get more and more questionable for what people is behind Ivas song, cause it just doesn't make sense. You can't just leave a blind woman with such talent as she has (she has really unique voice) and don't give her the tools to improve her song and make it stronger. The song does have a real medieval and almost celtic feel to it, why don't they work more on that, especially now with all the viking series on TV, no instead they just make this random commercial for car trips through Iceland and a performance where nothing happens but darkness in 1 and a half minute, I didn't even notice until now that the backing singers in the semi performance are blindfolded as well (which is absolutely something to work on). I wouldn't be against of Iceland sending this song if they had a clear idea with everything and a strong point of view on how they want it to look in Rotterdam, but at the moment, they seem not to care about Iva or her song.

So yeah, Daði will win this, and I do love the song. And I understand that people like Iva and her song. This just isn't her time, sadly.

lol like the song is going viral so clearly organically and people are still clinging to WOW NETFLIX SO DIRTY!!!! even if it makes no sense. darling.

also, even if that was true, it would be the most hilarious deus ex machina in a NF since "copyright issues in argentina have disqualified kismet" in 2013, so i would stan regardless.

@Schlagerman1 I personally think that adding a medieval, viking etc theme to it would just cheapen the whole experience and make it very cliche. I appreciate actually for once having a song like this without airy fairy stuff or naff cheese sprinkled on top of it. It's usually definitely a factor in why I struggle with this kind of music in general. The video might be very vague but it allows me to use my own imagination with the song and to just soak up the splendour of what I'm listening to. I much prefer it that way. The beauty of the song can speak for itself. It's something imo that really doesn't need a circus around it (not that you were suggesting it but it can naturally lead to being the case whenever going for such a theme). If it did get to Eurovision, for sure I would improve on camera angles. They just need to work on creating a special atmosphere with lighting and such. I just don't want them to take things down a tacky route.
