How I hate when somebody change decision after ppl reaction... meeeeh, it just tells me he/she doesn't stand behind decisions strongly..

Oculis videre is creepy af. Por díos, I am shitting my pants. This is Satanic stuff that pretends to be not.

Just because it sounds like something direct out of an Abbey, does not make it fresh or cool.

I concede there are winning chances, since Eimear Quinn in 1996 won also with Jupiter in Capricorn, which improves the standing of Celtic, Medieval sounding and other traditional music styles. But her voice is so shrieky.

I don't get the fuss about Dadi's entry going viral. Even German wannabe celebrities like Böhmermann tweeted about it.

If La Forza didn't win ESC, Oculis Videre definitely won't. It has neither the magic of The Voice, nor the power of La Forza.

I'm not saying it isn't good (it is) but let's have a bit of realism here.

I think they made a benign mistake. They probably just wanted to try the English version, because all the feedback is valuable. If they could have done that in the semis they most likely would have. If you have to perform in the intended language for ESC in the final and they’re already sure that Icelandic is the way to go it’s better to switch now than to break the unenforced rules later.

I re-watched Iva's performance and it was beautiful: got chills. Maybe I wasn't in the best mood last time. Apart from the beginning where she does sounds nervous and it shows through her vibrato, her vocals were nice.

The song is everything, and the backing vocalists are killing it imo.

All that they need to do is re-work the visuals: they will need better camera work (but I guess it has always been a bit limited in this NF given the venue) and a stronger concept for the backdrops: I could picture a vague drawing-like dark church/temple-inspired artwork with symbolic features for the first part (nothing too religiously-connotated, just enough to complement the spiritual vibe of the music), the transition to part 2 that "explodes" in a dramatic way lights-wise (could be a moment!), then maybe they could reuse the planet concept they have going on while replacing the redness with something more pleasing to the eye (through symbols like the beauty of nature taking over the ugliness of humankind :sneaky:) for part 2.

It's so strange to me that Iceland may send "Oculis Videre" to Eurovision while years ago I expressed on the forum my vain wish to hear a medieval-inspired spiritually-charged air with a prominent choir. I can't believe it.

Finally managed to rewatch Iva's performance, and it's simply magical. I truly hope that Iceland will send this to ESC! But I won't conceal that Dadi has also his charm. I would be fine with both. :)

Iva for the win!!!
I love it! Hope she can make it to eurovision and I actually think she could be a contender to win the whole thing.

Wait, what do I see ? No support for DIMMA anymore ? xfaint

Anyway, whatever happens on the final, I'll be both satisfied and disappointed. Dadi grew on me a lot and makes me want to dance along, Nina's carrying me over to her land, I like Iva's mystical atmosphere and I'm always a sucker for rock songs... I don't even who to root for anymore, so no matter who ends up chosen they have a strong top 10 potential in my final ranking.

Seems like there are deaf people talking in a topic about a blind girl.
