I re-watched Iva's performance and it was beautiful: got chills. Maybe I wasn't in the best mood last time. Apart from the beginning where she does sounds nervous and it shows through her vibrato, her vocals were nice.
The song is everything, and the backing vocalists are killing it imo.
All that they need to do is re-work the visuals: they will need better camera work (but I guess it has always been a bit limited in this NF given the venue) and a stronger concept for the backdrops: I could picture a vague drawing-like dark church/temple-inspired artwork with symbolic features for the first part (nothing too religiously-connotated, just enough to complement the spiritual vibe of the music), the transition to part 2 that "explodes" in a dramatic way lights-wise (could be a moment!), then maybe they could reuse the planet concept they have going on while replacing the redness with something more pleasing to the eye (through symbols like the beauty of nature taking over the ugliness of humankind
) for part 2.
It's so strange to me that Iceland may send "Oculis Videre" to Eurovision while years ago I expressed on the forum my vain wish to hear a medieval-inspired spiritually-charged air with a prominent choir.
I can't believe it.
